Day 1(26/11/2018) AUTISM DAY SCHOOL

There are six students in the AUTISM school of Navkshitij, these section of students are mentally
retarded and are very artistic in nature. They remain in their own world they generally are slow
responsive.
In AUTISM the brain of the child does not develop though there is normal physical growth, most of
the students in here are having a mental age of 5 to 6years despite of their physical age being in the
mid-twenties. These are the special child and need to be taken care with love and affection.

There are six such kind of special child.

Day 2(27/11/2018) AUTISM DAY SCHOOL
The day started with Meditation in the Navkshitij while the Special Child in the Autism started the
day with Morning Prayer. All the six students were made to sit in the places and after the prayer
attendance was taken, it was a day full of activity and several crucial observations are noted. Each
child reacted in different ways.

Vikas

Vikas is very calm and him brain works more as compared to other child in the school. He is efficient
in his work and always love to keep himself engaged in work. At the start of the day, during prayer
he is a very calm yet a good listener of the prayer. As the day progressed with the activity of making
of the paper bags and making the puzzles and drawings e.t.c he kept himself devoted to the work
given to him. He could speak understandable Hindi to a certain extent and he always asked for more
work to be given to him.

Nirmal

Nirmal is one of the most aggressive child in the AUTISM, he is having the tendency of biting and
itching. He is always found to be scratching his head and making noise and sometimes biting his own
forearm, it is his habit which can be visible from the marks on his fore arm. Nirmal is very aggressive
when something is taken from him he scratches his head and bites his arm making loud noise, he
loves to engage himself with same kind of activity for a longer time. Nirmal is having good physical
power and loves to play depending upon his mood.

Mayuresh

Mayuresh is a different type of child, he is having griping problem and always keeps his hand beside
his ears, and reason being that loud sound hurts him, for this particular reason Mayuresh is one of
the restless child during the Morning Prayer. He gets irritated by sounds and he could not even
speak properly, so his lkes and dislikes can only be understood by his facial expression. One more
strange noticeable thing is that, he doesn’t even look at the thing which he is doing, it can be
assumed that he lives in his own virtual world, to engage him in some activity we have to hold his
hand and make him do it.
