 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF REPORT
Cellular telephones have revolutionized the communications arena, redefining how we perceive voice
communications. Traditionally, cellular phones remained out of the hands of most consumers due to their
high cost. As a result, cell phone carriers have invested time and resources into finding ways to give the
systems higher capacity and thus lower cost. Cell systems are benefiting from this research and starting to
develop into large-scale consumer products.

Today, cellular phones are truly consumer electronics devices with over 59 million subscribers. The
Nokia Bowl and Qualcomm Stadium are further evidence of the idea that cell phones are consumer
electronics devices. Cell phones have ceased to be an exclusive status symbol of high-powered lawyers
and are now in the hands of millions of consumers.

Garbles Cellular Phones, Inc. is taking advantage of an opportunity to become a highly distinguished and
recognized leader in the cellular communications industry. It is the goal of our company to become
established as the leading distributor of wireless communications services in the metro Niceburg area.

In order to achieve this goal, Garbles Cellular Phones' critical success factors will be to identify emerging
trends and integrate them into our company operations, respond quickly to technology changes/be there
early, provide high-quality services, invest time and money in marketing and advertising, expand into
specialty markets, and stay ahead of the "technology curve."

The company was initially formed as a sole proprietorship by Mr. Seramed Garbles in the East Atlantic
Island Archipelago (EAIA), and succeeded tremendously in that market. Capitalizing on the growing
wireless communications industry and based on their success in EAIA the Garbles family decided to
expand their company's operations to the U.S.A. and create a niche market for its products and
accessories.
 INTRODUCTION

Amobile phone (also known as a hand phone, cell

phone, or cellular telephone. It can called a small
portable radio telephone.

The mobile phone can be used to communicate over

long distances without wires. It works by
communicating with a nearby base station (also
called a "cell site") which connects it to the main
phone network. When moving, if the mobile phone
gets too far away from the cell it is connected to, that
cell sends a message to another cell to tell the new
cell to take over the call. This is called a "hand off,"
and the call continues with the new cell the phone is
connected to. The hand-off is done so well and
carefully that the user will usually never even know
that the call was transferred to another cell.
 METHODS

When the first mobile phones were introduced, their only

function was to make and receive calls, and they were so
bulky it was impossible to carry them in a pocket.

Later, mobile phones belonging to the Global System for

Mobile Communications (GSM) network became capable
of sending and receiving text messages. As these devices
evolved, they became smaller and more features were
added, such as multimedia messaging service (MMS),
which allowed users to send and receive images. Most of
these MMS-capable devices were also equipped with
cameras, which allowed users to capture photos, add
captions, and send them to friends and relatives who also
had MMS-capable phones.

A mobile phone with advanced features similar to a

computer is called a smartphone, while a regular mobile
phone is known as a feature phone.

A mobile phone typically operates on a cellular network,

which is composed of cell sites scattered throughout cities,
countrysides and even mountainous regions. If a user
happens to be located in an area where there is no signal
from any cell site belonging to the cellular network
provider he or she is subscribed to, calls cannot be placed
or received in that location.
 RESULTS

Mobile or cell phones are now a days an integral part of modern

telecommunications in every individual life. In many countries, over half of
the population use mobile phones and the mobile phone market is growing
rapidly. Saudi Arabia rank first among the countries of the gulf region with
highest proportion of mobile users, a study conducted by United Nations
Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). In gulf countries,
Oman ranked second, followed by Kuwait and the UAE. As billions of
people use mobile phones globally, a small increase in the incidence of
adverse effects on health could have major public health implications on
long term basis. Besides the number of cell phone calls per day, the length
of each call and the amount of time people use cell phones are important
factors which enhance the health related risk.

Mobile phones emit radiofrequency energy, a form of non-ionizing

electromagnetic radiation, which can be absorbed by tissues close to the
phone. The amount of radiofrequency energy a mobile phone user is
exposed depend on many factors as the technology of the phone, the
distance between the phone and the user, the extent and type of mobile
phone use and the user’s distance from cell phone towers.

Research has shown an increased risk of traffic accidents, about 3–4 times
greater chance of an accident, when mobile phones (either handheld or
with a “hands-free” kit) are used while driving due to distraction.

Children have the potential to be at greater risk than adults for developing
brain cancer from cell phones. Their nervous systems are still developing
and therefore more vulnerable to factors that may cause cancer.
 DISCUSSION

Today, mobile phone has become popular to everybody since it is very

convenient. The most advantage of having a mobile phone is you can
communicate to your family and your friends no matter what where you are.
For instance, you can contact easily to your friends by calling or sending
messages everywhere without electricity. It is maybe the main reason why
almost all people today choose to own a mobile phone. From the
customer’s point of view, it is obvious that mobile phones assist you in
business a lot, such as, make schedule of working, surf the internet, and
keep in touch with their companies. Moreover, you can relax with mobile
phone’s applications, for example, play games, listen to music, or chat with
your friends.

On the other hand, there are also disadvantages. Using a lot mobile phone
can harm your brain, particularly teenager and children who are under 16
years old. If you use mobile phones too much, you will get bad effects like
dizzy, blood-brain barrier, or ears problems. In addition, when you use
mobile phones while you are driving, you will get an accident. It is essential
not good for you and others. Moreover, “radiations emitted from the phone
are dead harmful for the eardrum”, has proved by many scientist.

Owning a mobile phone in your hand is you can solve many issues and
hold most of information around the world. Even though is not good for your
health and you have to protect yourself from bad effects of mobile phones if
you choose to have one.

On the whole discussion we may conclude that

mobile phones are important, there is no denying
that but prioritising tasks is important for else we end
up wasting time and obsessing about unimportant
things.
