Advertisement for the Posts of Research Asiociate, Research Assistant and Offide Assistant
Applications are invited in the prescribed form from eligible candidates for various positions as
mentioned in the following table under project mode for the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for
"Bioresource Management and Energy Conservation Material Development" of Fakir Mohan
University under Odisha Higher Education Programme for Equity and Excellence (OHEPEE). The
details regarding educational qualification, procedure of application etc. are available in the
University website (www.fmuniversity.nic.in).The last date of applicationis24.6.2019 (5.00 pM).

All the above mentioned posts (i.e., 03 Research Associate, 02 Research Assistant and 0j. Office
Assistant) are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Details of educational qualification, elieibilitv. nature of iob and application procegure:

1. Research Associate (Three posts)

PhD in relevant discipline with at least three publications in Web of Science or Scopus journals. the
candidate must have a first class in Bachelor or Masters degree from a recognized university. The
candidate would be required to publish at least 1 paper per year in WSC indexed journal on the
area of work being done at the CoE.

Post 7: PhD in experimental condensed matter Physics/ Material Science/ Nanotechnology/

Physics; to work for an objective for "Development of Hybrid Nanocomposite Materials for
Efficient Electrochemical Energy Storage (EES) Devices".
Post 2: PhD in Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Marine biology/ Microbiology; to work for an
objective for "Bioresource Management in the Northern Coastal Region of Odisha".
Post 3: PhD in Environmental Science or Chemistry; to work for an objective for "Pollution control
and Management in the Northern Coastal Region of Odisha".

The applications should submit the lollowing documents while applying: *

(a) Application form as per format given in Annexure I
(b) A statement of Research lnterests/Statement of purpose (around 1000 words).
(c) Recommendation letters from Referees for the post of Post Doctoral Fellow (optional).
(d) Hard copy of preprints/reprints of three best research publications.

2. Research Assistant (Two posts)

At least second class in Master degree in relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate from a
recognized University. The candidate must be less than 30 years of age on the last date of
advertisement. The research assistant has to carry out field work, computer analysis, instrumental
analysis and other laboratory research work required for the project.

Post 7: Master degree in the Chemistry/ Material Science/ Nanotechnology

Post 2: Master degree in any branch of life science

The applications should have the following documents: *

(a) Application form as per format given in Annexure I
(b) A statement of Research lnterests/Statement of purpose (around 1000 words).
(c)Hard copy of preprints/reprints of research publications (if any)

application) to: centerofexcellence.fmu@gmail.com on or before 24.06.20L9 by 5.00 P.M. The
University reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof.
Applications received after due date will not be considered. The candidates who will be short-
listed based on the above documents will be asked for a seminar presentation (only for the post of
Research Associate) and personal appearance before the selection committee on a date to be
intimated later on via Email. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.

3. Office Assistant (One post) a

Minimum L2th pass with age not exceeding 25 years as on the date of walk-in-interview. The
Office Assistant has to carry out office work, maintain the documents etc. He should have
Elementary knowledge on computer.Candidates have to appear for the walk-in-
interviewscheduled to be held on27.6.2019 at 1L.30 AM and they haveto bring all the relevant
documents in original and one set of photocopies of the documents along with the duly filled
application form. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
