Working in an online project in MemoQ

Communication
When you open the project you will see that one tab is already open. This is the Communication tab
where you will find a forum and a chat:

We use the forum to post information about the translations, especially if we get additional info after
the files have been imported to memoQ.

Reference material
All reference material is added to a LiveDocs corpus. Here you can find things like images for context.

Comments
For each segment there’s possibility to add a comment (the speech bubble). If the speech bubble is
white, it means it’s empty, if yellow, there’s a comment. To open the comment, double-click the speech
bubble next to the segment. Comments can also be related to words highlighted in the text.

Resources
The Translation Memory, the Term Base and light resources are already connected to the server
project. Feel free to apply other QA settings (available on the server) or add other resources that you
may use, but please don’t touch the TM settings.
Update project
Your local copy of the project synchronises with the server continuously while open. When you open a
project it will look for updates on the server since you last connected. If it finds some, it will ask you if
you want to synchronise. You can also make it synchronise by pressing the Refresh Document button.

Delivery
To deliver translated files, select the files in the overview and press deliver:

You can only deliver a file once. If you want to make changes to a file after delivering it, you can do that,
but you need to notify us by email that you have done it, because in most cases it exports the translated
file when you deliver, so we will need to export the latest version manually.

View pane
In the view pane under the translation grid, you can set it to show an HTML preview of the file to see
what goes where.
