3D Printing Information

The City of Gold Coast Libraries Media Lab, located at the Helensvale Branch Library,
provides access to commercial quality 3D printing. City of Gold Coast Libraries uses a ProJet
260C 3D Printer. This is a colour 3D printer that uses a VisiJet PXL powder core and binder
to create conceptual 3D models.

The printing of 3D models is available to individuals, businesses, government agencies and

non-government organisations.

A full fees schedule is available from the Libraries website.

The customer submitting a 3D file for printing is responsible for ensuring the model is error
free. City Of Gold Coast Libraries accepts no responsibility for the design, creation or storage
of any 3D file.

3D printing is a staff mediated service. A customer submitting a file must:

 Provide the 3D file in either .STL, .WRL or .PLY format and on a portable storage device
(i.e. USB or Disc)
 Ensure the file is error free
 Pay for any associated cost before printing commences.

If the 3D software detects errors in the file, the customer is responsible for correcting the
errors before the print job can be commenced.
