Description: The Aberdeen Western Peripheral (AWPR) project


was a major transport infrastructure project to
significantly improve travel in and around
Aberdeen and the north east of Scotland. I worked
here as a planner and also performed the duties of
a project engineer to support the project team.

RESIDENTIAL BUILDING Responsibilities:


• Developed and maintained an integrated program connecting the
design, procurement and construction phases of the project. The
program was cost and resource loaded.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor’s program design, construction,
procurement schedules, and including third party impacts or constraints.
• Develop earned value reports reflecting the SPI and CPI of the project
• Analyzing and evaluating performance against an established schedule
• Assessing the impact of design/construction changes and schedule
slippages
• Presented the planning presentation during weekly client meeting.
• Was involved in following up the drawing approvals for both
substructure and superstructure framework

Description: Development of a 9 storey Hospital with basement


car park for 3 storeys. This project adopted top-
down construction method and the major
challenges associated with its construction was
logistics issue and a nearby metro station.
Responsibilities:
PLANNING SOFTWARE EXPERTISE
• The integrated program was developed before I joined the project and hence my
 Primavera P6 role in the project was to monitor the progress and update it on a monthly basis
for client submission.
 Asta Power Project
• I developed a target program with key milestones dates shorter than the contract
 Microsoft Project program. This program was provided to the contractor for monitoring their
progress. The subcontractors developed a detailed program for their respective
 Pert Master
work scope and ensured that their program dates fits within the target program.
• Reviewed the sub-contractors program for individual work trades and generated
S-curves, critical path analysis, earned value reports, progress monitoring
tracker, if-scenario reports and resource leveling.
• Obtaining schedule information required by all disciplines.
• Generating daily reports in support of the program reporting processes

Organisation: Fonda Global Engineering Pvt Ltd, Singapore
Project: Buildings, Road Works and Jetty Construction
Value: £170 million (combined value)

Description: The major project I had worked with Fonda as a


planning engineer was the design and build project
for a client whose project scope included a 14
storey residential building, an office building, ware
houses, jetty construction and associated road
works connecting these structures. This was a fast
track project and the temporary works design was
so complicated to support the roof height of 21
metres. This was a resource driven project and
hence resource allocation and levelling had to be
constantly monitored.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewed project schedules & monthly / weekly look-ahead using


Microsoft project for sub-contractor’s project progress reports.
• Prepared the project schedule for Client in Primavera P6 and monitored
it on a monthly basis in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Short term program was the key tool used to drive progress on site.
• Handled full scope of the project construction from piling till final
snagging and handover.
• Reviewed the progress on a weekly basis and produced if-scenario
reports to forecast the early completion date and early warnings to the
project manager.
