INTRODUCTION

The internship is an integral platform for anyone to gain experience in an actual

workplace. It is a good opportunity for students to learn, to gain experience and
also to make preparation. By doing by internship in an actual workplace, it helps
me to know and discover myself from different angle. It also helps me to control
and develop my attitude and behavior in dealing with different kinds of people and
situation. I have decided to take the internship course to grab the golden
opportunity to apply theories and knowledge that I have in real working life
setting. Through learning in university, I learned about theories but by doing
internship, I learned the practically approach on dealing with a real world.
Internship helps me to identify my weakness and also my strengths. Intern can
learn the practical aspects of what is taught between the four walls of the
University lecture halls. The internship helps students to learn know and
understand what actually happen on the field as compared to what they have
studied in the school. This is a report on the purpose of carrying out the internship,
the profile of the chosen organization of the intern, duties and schedules performed
in the organization, the contributions of the intern to the organization, applications
of theories to real life situations, various lessons learnt by the intern, challenges
encountered, conclusions drawn and recommendations made by the intern. The
intern did two months internship (2-5-19 to 21-6-19) at Teclyn tools private
limited. The intern was assigned to the Finance Departments. The main duty was
to assist the Accountant with implementation of the goals of the department, which
included various tasks depending on the daily activities like checking of petty cash,
payment vouchers, Bank Lodgment, Reconciliation, Input of records in tally
software and preparing of monthly financial reports. However, the foremost area
the intern specialized was Internal Audit.

Teclyn tools private limited believe that prevention is better than cure. During the
process of production teclyn have inline inspection and final inspection processes.
The raw materials are 100% inspected by highly experienced inspectors. Our
objective is to produce with zero defects.

The “BACK TRACKING SYSTEM” plays a vital role in developing sense of

responsibility and accountability in every person in making and inspecting the raw
materials. The same thing is emphasized in ISO-9002, so teclyn tools private
limited are not only the IS0-9002 certified holder but also the true executors. The
company has independent quality assurance team that conducts inline audits and
final finished goods audit.

Followings are the stepwise operations, which are followed by the production
department;

 First step of production department is Identifying the customer needs

 In second step when a new PO is going to be produced then production
planning and control department forward a ppc file to the production
department.
 After the above two steps production department will design the diagram of
the product.
 Once we get an idea for the design, our engineers begin the actual
development of the product. From material selection to cost avoidance, our
electrical and mechanical engineers ensure every product is made efficiently
 and at the highest level of quality. Technical drawings are made to begin the
prototyping process.
 As soon as the technical drawings are approved, we can move on to the
prototyping stage. This process can involve programming for the
appropriate machinery and/or 3-D printing so that our client can quickly put
their hands on an initial draft. The prototype is tested and reviewed. The
feedback we get from the prototype is fed back into the discovery process
and we continue to tweak the design until it is ready for a pilot run.
 Before full production begins, they do a “Pilot Run.” This is a smaller scale
production that allows us to observe the entire manufacturing process.

CNC

Some of the well-equipped latest machines are CNC lathe and VMC machines.

A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine is basically a machine that uses

computer programming instructions to control parts and build things. This means
that the machine is automated, allowing it to use set instructions from a computer
system to fashion materials. The advantage of not needing a manual operator
allows CNC routers to gain wide use in many woodworking projects.

The CNC machine comprises of the computer in which the program is fed for
cutting of the metal of the job as per the requirements. All the cutting processes
that are to be carried out and all the final dimensions are fed into the computer via
the program. The computer thus knows what exactly is to be done and carries out
 all the cutting processes. CNC machine works like the Robot, which has to be fed
with the program and it follows all your instructions

Some of the common machine tools that can run on the CNC are: Lathe, Milling
machines, Drilling Machine etc. The main purpose of these machines is to remove
some of the metal so as to give it proper shape such as round, rectangular, etc. In
the traditional methods these machines are operated by the operators who are
experts in the operation of these machines. Most of the jobs need to be machined
accurately, and the operator should be expert enough to make the precision jobs. In
the CNC machines the role of the operators is minimized. The operator has to
merely feed the program of instructions in the computer, load the required tools in
the machine, and rest of the work is done by the computer automatically. The
computer directs the machine tool to perform various machining operations as per
the program of instructions fed by the operator.

WORKING OF CNC:

 A program containing the instructions for the needed part is inserted into the MCU
through the input device.
 MCU processes the data in the program, translates into machine language and send
to the driving system.
 The driving system initiates and controls the speed and positioning of the machine
tool.
 The feedback system documents and relays signals of the processes to the MCU
throughout the processing.
 MCU makes required adjustments on velocity and position of the machine tool based
on current and previous signals collected.
 The display unit shows all the important data in the process, allowing the user to
monitor the machine.

VMC

CNC vertical machining centers (VMCs) remain machine shop staples. These

There is no doubt Teclyn tools private limited is very organized. Still there is
always room for improvements and following are some measures I suggest for
improving the performance of the company.

 Company should have separate organized departments

 Company should introduce products with its own name.
 Company should try to reduce workload
 Promotions, increments and other benefits should be performance based in
the company
 Company should try to develop over all thinking in employees, not only
departmental thinking
CONCLUSION

Overall, internship is a really good program and recommended to my fellow

friends. It helps to enhance and develop my skills, abilities, and knowledge.
It was a good experience and memories as not only I have gained
experience, but also new friends and knowledge. The treatment of the
company was just equitable and professional. I’ve learned from different
units and people. The company has fully equipped machines. Its quality
assurance system is one of the best in India. The company’s infrastructure is
good. Offices are fully furnished. The company is centrally air- conditioned.
