1.0 Invitation to Bid .1 Sealed Bids for the ʔaq̓am Health and Wellness Centre

of the Consultant:

The Bid shall close on September 20, 2018 at 2:00pm P.S.T..
.1 Bids submitted after the above time will be returned to
the Bidder unopened.
.2 Bids will be opened in public after the time for receipt of
Bids.
The Consultant will open the Bids immediately after the
close of Bids at the Consultants Office, Suite 250 - 171
West Esplanade, North Vancouver, BC.
No indication of award will be made until all Bids are
reviewed for compliance with Bid documents.
.3 A Bid submitted in accordance with these instructions
may be revised, provided the revision is received at the
office designated for the reception of Bids, on or before
the time and date set for the closing of Bids. An unclear
facsimile will be rejected with no corroboration or
clarification being sought by the Owner.
.2 The scope of work shall include the construction of a new
single storey wood framed health centre building. The new 460
m2 (4,951 ft2) health facility will include a community health
room, lobby area, medical exam and treatment spaces, a
multipurpose room, office and administration spaces, and
general support spaces. The construction includes wood
platform framing on a concrete slab on grade with roof trusses.
New exterior site works include site clearing, grading,
landscaping, concrete sidewalk, wood deck, paved parking
area, generator and garbage enclosure, sanitary force main
and a water connection.
.3 The main funding contributors for this project will be the First
Nations Health Authority (FNHA). The owner is ʔaq̓am
Community, 7470 Mission Road, Cranbrook, B.C., V1C 7E5.
