PRPC Direct Capture of Objectives 6.1

Overview
Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) is for analysts, architects, developers or managers who are interested in learning the
details of and best practices when using DCO tools. DCO tools allow resources to capture business specifics and use
them to create an application baseline with Build for Change® technology. DCO tools can be used with any project and
with any methodology ensuring that the starting point is correctly created and documented. The documentation process
continues as the application is built.
This 2-day hands-on course teaches students the details and best practices of using DCO tools to capture business
specifics, size the project, create the application baseline and document the project. Other DCO topics are explored
including the Enablement Wizard and Rule linking.

Course Objectives
By the end of this course, students will be able to successfully:
 Directly capture business objectives in the Application Profiler  Document the application using the Application
 Create a timeline estimate for project completion using the Document Wizard
Project Sizing tool  Increase familiarity with other DCO tools
 Run the Application Accelerator to create an application
baseline
