Students Remain Reluctant to Try E-Textbooks, Survey Finds

The vast majority of students say they prefer print textbooks over electronic ones, and attitudes have
not shifted markedly in the past year, according to the results of a survey by the National Association of

AdAge.com examined the iPad app sales for six magazines — Popular Science, Wired, Men’s Health,
People, GQ, and Vanity Fair — taking into consideration the titles’ newsstand sales and the fact that,

mobile subscribers – up 129 percent in just two years – and is now poised to level the playing field for

consumption habits. Nielsen released further details from its recent survey of iPad owners and found that
41% have already purchased a paid app on the device from a magazine publisher. In all, 63% of all
iPad owners have downloaded fee-based apps. Games (62%) and books (54%) are the most popular
