JOB DESCRIPTION

Section : Plant Modification Projects Location : Ruwais

1. BASIC FUNCTION

To supervise and oversee piping and mechanical construction activities for various
plant modification projects/work orders to ensure safe, quality, timely, and
compliance of specified scope. To report field execution progress to the respective
project/ discipline engineers.

2. WORK PERFORMED

• Reviews construction packages for plant modification projects and provide

feedback to project engineers.
• Participates in activity planning.
• Participates in task risk assessment (TRA) for critical activities in the plant related
to the assigned plant improvement project.
• Coordinates with Projects planner for activities to be carried out as per the agreed
upon planning.
• Coordinates with other parties in Company (Borouge) to allocate the required
resources for execution.
• Follows up execution activities (either by Company internal resource or by
external contractor) and submit regular reports to the project engineers.
• Works closely with project planner and provides him with field execution progress/
status in order to update the respective schedule.
• Inspect completed jobs for conformity to statuary and company specifications.
Prepares check list and carries out Punch items in coordination with concerned
party representative(s).
• Raises materials issue documents and assists in the receipt of materials and spare
parts, helping to check the quality and quantity of supply.
• Maintain records of work performed and work in progress in the computerized
system, other related data etc. and processes paperwork related to mechanical
jobs.
• Follows up the delivery of project materials to warehouse and hands over project
the same to execution team(s).
• Ensures observation of HSE regulations and guidelines during execution.
• Reviews method statement(s) for plant modification projects’ critical activities.
• Prepares As-Built marked up drawings/ documents and hands over the document to
Design Drafting Section for master copy update.
• Prepares PMP close out documents and obtains the required signatures from
concerned parties.

EDMS

4. INDEPENDENCE OF OPERATION

Reports to Team Leader. Work is subject to review and directions

5. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

No direct supervisory responsibilities.

6. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Based at the Production Plant site in Ruwais. Spends about 40% of the time in office
environment doing design / study work and interfacing and spends about 60% of the
time exposed to plant conditions and prevailing weather.

7. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Completion of Technical Secondary School education (12 years), followed by a

Trade Diploma in the respective trade (2-3 years).
• 8-10 years work experience in project field execution in oil/gas/petrochemical
Industry. Good knowledge of production facilities in an oil/gas or petrochemical
industry.
• Good knowledge of piping materials and specifications.
• High supervision skill and basic planning knowledge.
• Good knowledge with HSE requirement during project execution in both grass-root
and running plants.
• Good level in English (Written/ Spoken) language and having good
communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. Team work within the team
and across departments
