Inclusive Preschools
• Preschool registration happens early; during Feb.& March
• Great preschool programs often have wait lists
• Start investigating the preschools in the area “now” for Willy, if you want him to
go to a natural inclusive preschool.
• At most preschools you will need to speak with the director of each facility to
learn of their specific preschool inclusion opportunities.

Weinstein JCC Early Childhood Inclusion/Support Program
The Weinstein JCC has had a formally developed inclusion/support system for
children with special needs, their families, and staff since 1999. There is support staff in
place to provide assistance both to teachers and to children. An Individual Education
Social Plan (IFSP) is developed with the family and staff to facilitate an integrated team
approach. JCC has a Parent – Teacher Resource Library & many established Community
Connections.

Westminster Canterbury Child Development Center
Licensed by the state of Virginia and NAEYC accredited, Westminster
Canterbury Child Development Center offers a fully inclusive preschool and before/after
school program for children that includes those with special needs. Positive experiences
help children develop critical thinking skills and an enthusiasm for learning. Inclusion
program gives extra support to children with special needs and their families.
