PUBLISHER and PRODUCT MANAGER at REALITATEA – CATAVENCU media group, JULY 08 –


present

-develop and launch the business portal MONEY.RO, with a goal to become the business portal with the
biggest traffic and revenues on the local market in 2 years.

-find the most reliable internet development supplier on the market and establish a contract based on a
timeline to deliver the web portal
-develop the technical brief with the project manager and establish technical specifications of the project

-develop the business plan, the budget, and the cash-flow; taking care to execute the budget as it was
approved by the shareholder

-head-hunting for the editor-in-chief and the best editors on the business media market, and develop an
editorial team

-integrating the 3 editorial teams of the products that were integrated in MONEY.RO, a business daily
newspaper, the only business TV station in Romania, and a weekly business magazine

-develop and execute the marketing plan together with the marketing manager

-provide strategic guidance and direction with all the professionals involved in the project – sales team,
marketing team, editorial team

-organize periodical training sessions for the team

-measure the progress of the product and provide input of established metrics as part of the monthly
rhythm of the business.

-provide accurate analysis of the main competitors on the market and of the product, forecast of revenue,
and measurements of marketing efforts.

Key achievements: obtaining the third position on the business publishing portals on the market at
2 months after launch, development of the first internet video platform on the Romanian market,
recruitment of the best editorial team on the Romanian market, and obtaining a better than budget result
after the first 6 months

New Media Manager, Publimedia Romania, part of CME Media Group - OCTOBER 07-JULY 08

- coordinating the new media division of the publishing group, which consisted of 24 websites
- periodical analysis of the performance of the websites, in traffic, income, as well as the main competitors
on each segment of the market that we were present on.
- offered input for the marketing of the web media products
- offered input for the relaunch/redesign of the websites owned by the company
- offered input for the optimization of the audience
- coordinating the web content manager and the 12 editors-in-chief of each of the websites a well as the
technical team
- offering evaluation and reporting to the general manager of Publimedia
Key achievements: www.zf.ro became the leader on the business website segment on the local
market

Alejandros Restaurant, owner and manager, MARCH 08 – FEBRUARY 09

-developed the business plan and the cashflow of the restaurant

-identified the best location for the restaurant and negotiating the optimal rent

-obtained financing for the project

-recruited the operational manager and the chef as well as the support personnel

-established a relationship with the main suppliers on the local market

-developed a commercial relationship as well as a personal relationship with the most important
magazines on the market in order to obtain visibility and PR in the market

Key achievements: crisis management of the restaurant, closing a deal to sell the restaurant when
the financial crisis hit the local catering market and minimising the losses.

PUBLISHER of the BUSINESS PRESS DIVISION at Publimedia, part of the CME Media Group,
OCTOBER 06 – OCTOBER 07

-management of the business press division of Publimedia, which included Ziarul Financiar, Business
Magazin, Target, Promotor, Business Construct – with over 10 million euros in annual revenues (Ziarul
Financiar is still the biggest financial daily in Romania and the most proffitable newspaper on the local
market)
-established the budget for each of these products and executing it
-established the strategy for the products in order to increase sales and audience
-coordinated the marketing, editorial, sales and new media team of each product
-crisis management for the products in difficulty, including closing the products that had no perspectives.

-developed special editorial projects and offering guidance to the advertising selling division
Key achievements: managing the most proffitable newspaper on the local media market

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF at TARGET business magazine, part of Publimedia MARCH 06 – OCTOBER 06

-recruiting and training for the editorial team of the magazine


-developed the layout for the magazine, together with the art-director
-coordinated the editors, finding stories, editing of the texts, and making sure that the magazine respects
the deadline for the printing
-developed a close relationship with the advertising team, in order to develop editorial projects that were
likely to attract clients for the magazine
Hey achievements: launching the magazine after the project that i developed and reaching sales of
aproximately 10.000 issues at the press stands, each month.

EDITOR at Ziarul Financiar business daily newspaper, part of Publimedia

-wrote business news and stories each day


-developed relationship with the managers of one of the biggest companies on the local market, in order to
obtain information that i can use in writing my stories
-specialised in the pharmaceutical market and the local real estate market
-presented my stories to the editorial board of the newspaper each day
-respected the deadlines of the editor-in-chief
