Spreadsheets and database management for business and financial analysis ii. MS Project for Project Management iii. GIS applications in agribusiness (marketing, retail, supply chain) iv. ERP –through hands on experience of use of IT in industry in cross- functional business processes with Oracle Academy’s Enterprise Business Suite on Demand (in association with Oracle Academy, India) v. Business Analytics with SAS (as elective) Focus on technology management and entrepreneurship – through an understanding of the industry dynamics of technological innovation, valuation and business model development. • Opportunities to understand and assess important national and global issues related to agriculture and agribusiness management and policy through participation in a range of national and international workshops and programmes organized routinely at NAARM • Access to and participation in the activities of the innovative Agribusiness Knowledge Centre (AKC) at NAARM. The AKC is a unique public private partnership initiative between NAARM and Gyantech Information Systems for information and knowledge exchange and comprises two distinct components: a physical component to house some of the stakeholders from the private sector, NGOs and farmer organizations at NAARM and provide knowledge services like training, data products, and others a virtual component, called the Agribusiness Knowledge Exchange (AKX) to orchestrate the collaboration among the stakeholders interactively and on-line to provide value adding knowledge.
