Classifying video is a nightmare. Most uploaded video lacks description, tags and
proper titles. Compounded, this means search is broken.
A Premium content play is needed. Brands don’t know what their ads are getting
paired against. The only decent targeting is against demographics and geography.
Summary: To make ‘Web TV’ a win (i.e., attract brand ad dollars and normals)
online video needs superior discovery + classification + delivery
Youtube is missing the ability for *people* to edit, reclassify and aggregate
content.Youtube is only one source (albeit a big one)
The improved data our community builds around video assets can be leveraged
by partners for superior ad targeting and repurposing
We aim to be the go-to mobile/web app for consuming online video. We help
Boxee, Google TV, Apple TV and Youtube.
