The great “falling away”
which took place between
1880 and 1980
was predicted
by the Apostle
Paul more
than 1,730
years before it
took place. Second Thess-
alonians 2 and 2 Timothy 3–
4 deal with this subject. For
the last 100 years, apostate
Conservatives and Funda-
mentalists have been at work
trying to cover up 2 Timothy
4 and make you think that
“apostasy” is only applicable
to unsaved “liberals.” I do not
say that without having

Today, as the Church Age
comes rapidly to an end in
total apostasy (as all “ages”
do in the Holy Scriptures
[Gen. 3,6,11,49; Judg. 12,
etc.), you can observe sev-
eral peculiar phenomena be-
ing carried out by Christian
“celebrities” and “ministerial
leaders.” One of the most
unusual is an evangelistic
phenomenon called “the
Gospel of the Retreads.”
The most comprehensive
theological work on this was
done by a Church of God
minister named Daniel Cor-
ner. His major work was a
758 page book called The
Believer’s CONDITIONAL
Security. It states that the
born-again “child of God”

saved Bible commentators,
Bible teachers, and pub-
lished “Bible studies.”
An “apostate” is any man
w h o
“falls
away
from a
STANDING position” (Greek:
apostasia). That is why Paul
told the saved members of
the Body of Christ to “stand”
and, “having done all, to
STAND”—not “profess to be
taking a stand” or even a
“posture.”
When dealing with the
“holy scriptures” (not the
“preserved Word of God,”
etc.) in matters of final au-
thority, ninety percent of the

security at any time. That is,
his salvation will be condi-
tioned on the WORKS he
does after he is saved. Go-
ing far beyond the Free Will
Baptist position, or even
John Wesley’s position, Cor-
ner states that the New Birth
guarantees nothing; that a
Christian can be born again
and again innumerable
times; that he can fall OUT
of Christ’s Body after he is
made “bone of his bone and
flesh of his flesh” (Eph. 5);
and he can “undo” the Holy
Spirit’s “sealing” (Eph. 4:30)
which made him a part of
Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:22–23,
5:30; 1 Cor. 12:13).

17).
This downward plunge in
Revelation 3 is immediate. It
takes place in less time than
the FIVE church periods that
preceded the Philadelphia
period. Its “falling away,”
from a standing position, is
so dramatic that you cannot
count on ONE THING that it
professes to be the truth.
See the list (Rev. 3:17). It is
“professors” (Rom. 1:23; 2
Tim. 3:7) ONLY: and false
profession at that.
Nobody needs one trans-
lation outside of a King
James Bible (in any edition)
to see this truth. You do not
need one “TR Greek manu-
script” from Erasmus, Elze-
vir, Stephanus, Colinaeus, or
Beza to “understand” the
“original.”
Between 1880 and 1980
something went “all to
pieces.” It was not just the
“modernists” and “liberals” in
the NCCC, WCC, and ecu-
menical councils set up by
the Vatican or the NCCC.
The Fundamentalists just
pretended that that was the
“falling away.” Somewhere
between the RV (1885) and
the ASV (1901), the Chris-
Biblical Scholarship, and The
Scholarship Only Contro-
versy.
What “key” can one find
to open the door of explana-
tion for this mammoth,
wholesale rejection of the
Holy Bible as the final au-
thority in the life of more than
400,000,000 Americans in
the twenty-first century?
Why, at least 4,000,000 of
them are professing Chris-
tians (Charismatics, Catho-
lics, J.W.s, Mormons, Sev-
enth-day Adventists, Prom-
ise Keepers, Lutherans,
Mennonites, Anglicans, Pen-
tecostals, Amish, non-
denominationalists, “Breth-
ren,” Baptists, Quakers,
Methodists, Greek Orthodox,
and others).
Well, here is THE key, or
the “keys.”
I will show you how any
born-again, saved, Bible-be-
lieving Bible scholar could
wind up teaching heresy his
entire lifetime (while quoting
Scripture) when his motive
at the start was to pose as
YOUR final authority so you

would not accept ANY book
as your final authority. Rick
Norris, last year (2003),
struck the apostates’ major
chord (the tonic) by titling a
critique of the King James
Bible, The Unbound Scrip-
tures. He did this knowing
that your King James Bible
was a Book, published with
covers on it and BINDINGS
in it—as all commercial
Bibles are.
Norris begins his apostate
critique with Pilate’s question
about relative truths: “what
is truth?”
With the answer right be-
fore him (as Pilate had it be-
fore him), Ricky simply slams
the King James Bible shut
and refuses to accept the
Holy Spirit’s definition of “the
truth.” This was done so he
could ramble off through 484
pages of relative truths that
were no more “Scripture”
than they were “the HOLY
SCRIPTURES” (Rom. 1:2).
The answer to “What is
truth?” can be found in the
universal language of the
twenty-first century, without
reference to ANY version
besides the King James and
without any reference to one
Textus Receptus Greek
manuscript or any Alexan-
drian Greek manuscript ex-
tant. Here it is:

WINNER and a witness to
“the grace of God” (Acts
20:24).
No “child of God,” in this
age, could ever win anyone
to Jesus Christ if he told him
beforehand that by receiving
God’s “free gift” (Rom.
5:15,18) he would have to
WORK to keep it or God
would take it back (Rom.
11:29).
So Corner’s first purpose
is to stop Christians from pro-
claiming Romans 8:29, 4:5;
Galatians 3:13; Ephesians
2:5–8; and Colossians 1:14.
Corner does this by cancel-
ling those verses with cita-
tions written to Old Testa-
ment Jews under the Law (all
the material found in Mat-
thew, Mark, Luke, and John)
and the books that were writ-
ten to Hebrews (Hebrews)
and the twelve tribes of Is-
rael (James 1:1).
2. His second purpose for
assembling this mass of con-
fused, misleading, totally un-
godly material, by quoting
Scripture(!)—as Satan did in
Luke 4:10—is to prevent sin-
ners from accepting Christ by
making them think that if they
can’t live like Corner lives,
they will go to Hell anyway,
even if they DO accept
Christ.
Corner’s purpose, then, in
his publication, is clearly
manifest: it is to damn sin-
ners and shut the mouths of
the saints.
That was his “life work.”
To those ends he adver-
tised himself as giving you a
“comprehensive, exhaustive”
work, “fully documented” and
“fully indexed” with twenty-
five chapters, thirteen appen-
dices, 700 footnotes, and
190 reference sources. All of
it was done to produce two
things: unstable, unsure

James Ussher
Originally published in Latin in the 1650s,
Ussher’s masterpiece is a literary classic.
Almost completely inaccessible to the public
for three centuries, this book is a virtual
historical encyclopedia with information and

If you go by “conditioned”
security instead of “eternal”
security, several obscene,
vulgar, ridiculous conse-
quences follow: Corner fol-
lows about ten of them. (Get

can lose their salvation, Cor-
ner has never lost his; nor
did Jimmy Bakker, Gorman,
or Jimmy Swaggart! It seems
that only Baptists can!
2. Corner openly con-
fesses that he is able to tell
whether you are saved or not
at any moment, of if anyone
is saved or not (pp. 336, 341,
353).
3. He does this by simply
measuring their life by his
life, and since he has not yet
“fallen,” they must be living
like he is living (pp. 588–
602).
He claims he is sinless on
twenty-nine sins that Chris-
tians commit.
4. But! According to his
work (pp. 574–613) this
“conditioned” security can
only be kept by living a
sinless life (pp. 629–630).
So Corner, without realiz-
ing he has cut his own stu-
pid throat from ear to ear,
has accidently pretended
that he has no old nature
(Rom. 7). When he hits a sin-
ful Christian in 1 Corinthians
5:5 he has to “ditch” the AV
text and get a phony Bible
to read “destroy” the sinners’
OLD NATURE—not his
“FLESH” (AV: 1 Cor. 5:5).
I have never seen, in fifty-
six years, any Church of
God preacher, Pentecostal
preacher, Assembly of God
preacher, or Charismatic
preacher whose “OLD MAN”
(Rom. 7:22–25) was “de-
stroyed” in anyone’s sight

7). John said—and 1 John
was used by Corner forty
times to get rid of John
14:16—Daniel Corner was a
liar.
The Apostle John said
that Corner was a “liar” and
“the truth” was not in him (1
John 1:8,10). That is from
the same chapter (1 John 1)
that Corner quotes to prove
that your sins were not FOR-
GIVEN at Calvary (Col.
1:14).

Corner says that if any
sheep fails to “follow” Jesus
Christ he is turned from a
sheep into a WOLF or a PIG
(see his comments on 2 Pet.
2:22 and John 10). Paul did
not follow Jesus Christ in his
ministry according to Acts.
Was he one of Christ’s
“sheep”?
What Corner has done is
what all modern evangelists
(1960–2004) are doing “to
get results.” Many “traveling
missionaries” (who do not
stay on the field) report hun-
dreds and even thousands
of “conversions” on the for-
eign field. They do this in
one week by getting sinners
to pray a prayer which most
of them have been praying
at least twenty times a year
since they were five years
old. If that prayer was an-
swered (see Rom. 10:13),
every one of these “conver-
sions” was a “retread”; saved
sinners would be getting
“saved again” according to
Corner’s book.
In local church evange-
lism, what people like Phil
Kidd (and fifty more just like
him) do, is first insist on sal-
vation by the free grace of
God in the finished atone-
ment of Christ, but then they
go to work to prove that if
any professing Christian
there who believed that (or
professed to believe it)
doesn’t dress right, live right,
talk right, go to church regu-
larly, etc., they are actually
lost sinners who didn’t get

Well, for awhile let us pre-
tend we are Darwinian-
evolutionarly “Positive Think-
ers” who look for “similari-
ties” instead of “differences,”
shall we? Let’s!
Both groups can use the
same Bibles to prove their
point. Both groups correct
the AV where it doesn’t “say”
what they want it to “teach.”
Both groups insist that sal-
vation in the Old Testament
and the Tribulation is IDEN-
TICAL to salvation in the
New Testament, so both
groups quote the Old Testa-
ment to get rid of anything
they find in the New Testa-
ment that doesn’t match their
own private interpretation;
and vice versus. When they
mangle these verses and
misplace them they call it
“reconciling the Scriptures
so they don’t contradict.”
What both groups do
(quoting Scripture), to do it,
is make a LIAR out of the
Holy Spirit.
Every verse in the Old
Testament that can be made
to teach “eternal security” is
used by the “Once Saved Al-
ways Saved” group, but in
order to do this they have to
pretend that no NEW cov-
enant replaced the OLD cov-
enant. They are forced to
deny John 10:28; Romans
10:13; and Acts 13:39–40,
although they don’t INTEND
to. Ezekiel 18:24 does NOT
teach eternal security, no
matter how you mangle or
misquote it. Nor does Psalm
51:11 teach eternal security,
even though the man that
wrote it prophesied a future
time when his prayer would
not have to be prayed (Rom.
4:6–7). Psalm 24:1–5 does
not teach eternal security of
any kind “by grace through
faith,” nor does
Deuteronomy 30:13–16.

its “companion verse” in Ro-
mans 10:8–10.
When this first bunch of
heretics gets to the New
Testament and runs into He-
brews 3:6,14, 12:14, 6:1–6,
or 10:26, they immediately
resort to “artifacts” to destroy
“the HOLY SCRIPTURES.”

correct you are BOTH going

ference between a saved
man who can LIE while he is
a Christian—not a “liar”—
and an unsaved man who IS

I had better slack off here;

Both groups would call
Ruckman a “heretic,” and
they do.
Why? Easy. In “Ruck-
man’s” theological system
God is always “TRUE, but
every MAN [is] a liar.” Any
man who changes anything
to make it FIT his theologi-
cal system is a crook and a
heretic. “Ruckman” adjusts
his theological system to the
WORDS printed in a King
James Authorized Version.
That is what makes him ap-
pear to be a “heretic.” He
never has to change ONE
WORD in either Testament
to prove anything. He
doesn’t have to. “THY word
IS truth.” It is “true from the
BEGINNING.” “The WORDS
of the Lord are pure
WORDS.” “Ye hear them not
because ye [not Ruckman]
are NOT OF GOD!”

“Scripture” to prove any-
