1. DESIGN CRITERIA.
1.1.1 API 10000 psi series: 690 bar for temperature range up to +120º C.
1.1.2 ASME Class 2500 based on the service limits of Piping Classification NSS 12-D-7-00, issue 6,
revision A, 25-SS-02.
• 431 bar at room temperature (up to +50º C)
• 429 bar at +100º C
• 418 bar at +150º C
• 406 bar at +200º C
1.2 MECHANICAL PROPERTIES.
At room temperature in accordance with ASTM B 423 - UNS N08825 / B 703-UNS N08825.
At elevated temperatures in accordance with ASME Section II, Table Y-1.
• For ASME rated tubing the larger value of P/f dictates the design temperature.
P * Do
d min. =
2*z*f+P
Remarks:
d min. 0,3 * Di
In case d min. > 0,3 * Di (applies to API 10000 psi series) the nominal wall thickness is
calculated in accordance with ASME B31.1 "Power Piping" based on the formula:
P * Do
d min. = +A
2 (f + P*y)
4.2 ASME CLASS 2500 SERIES, CALCULATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH D0201 OF "DUTCH RULES FOR PRESSURE VESSELS".
Notes:
(1)
d. nom. = d min. + Mill tolerance (=10%) rounded off upwards.
(2)
Advice of manufacturer Fine Tubes: Nominal wall thickness shall not be less than 1, 00 because of vulnerability.
4.3 API 10000 PSI SERIES, CALCULATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASME B31.1 "POWER PIPING".
Note:
(1)
d. nom. = d min. + Mill tolerance (=10%) rounded off upwards.
