A VOTE OF THANKS

(Delivered by Mr. Bonaventure Saanane from the Dar es Salaam

Institute of Technology)

Dear Guest of Honour, Professors from Boryeong Institute of KOMIPO

and Dear Friends,

On behalf of myself and Dear Participants from the University of Dar es

Salaam, Ministry of Energy and Minerals, the Rural Energy Agency
(REA) and TANESCO (the Power Utility company in Tanzania),

I wish to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to all of

you who devoted a great deal and worked hard for making this Energy
Development Training a success. We have received up to-date
information on renewable energy and cutting edge technologies in
power generation, including issues of environmental management and
green house gas emission. Also, we had the chance of visiting the
KOMIPO generating facilities here at Boryeong that really enhanced our
understanding of the lecture materials delivered to us.

This Programme included also the exposure of the participants to the

Korean Culture, Language and Society. We did visit the Gyeongbok
Palace in Seoul, the Presidential Library, the National Folk Museum, the
NANTA Performance and some landmark places like the N Seoul Tower,
the 2002 World Cup Stadium and Technology Exhibitions. Not least
also, was the Home visiting programme which gave us the opportunity
to experience the real hospitality of the Korean people. It was very
fantastic.

All these well planned programmes were very useful and will definitely
help us in our professional activities for making positive contributions
to the development of our Energy sector in Tanzania.

Once again, let me express our gratitude to KOMIPO for hosting this
programme and training us. We shall continue to remember KOMIPO
back home in Tanzania for making our stay in Korea a very
comfortable one. We have lived together as one family.

Moreover, I would like to register here special thanks to Ms. Lee and
Mr. U for their hard work and clear heart to make us feel at home here
in Korea.

Thanks to all people in KOMIPO and God willing we hope to meet with
you in Tanzania in the near future.
