1. Figure 1 below shows a ball that was placed in the


middle of the field from morning to noon.

Figure (a) shows a fisherman walking to his boat. Figure (b) shows the
fisherman carrying a basket full of fish from his boat. Observe both figure
especially the foot prints of the fisherman and answer the following
questions.
(a) State one suitable inference [1 mark]
(b) State one suitable hypothesis [1 mark]
(c) By using apparatus/materials such as plasticine, weight and others,
explain an experiment to test your hypothesis. In your experiment state
the following;
i) Purpose of experiment

3. In Figure 3, two cooking pots P and Q are made from the same material
of equal mass. If equal amount of heat is supplied to pots P and Q, it is
noted that the temperature of liquid R in pot P is higher than in pot Q.

In Figure 4., an observer sees an image of an object place at P in front


of a plane mirror. When the object is moved to X, the image is seen at
Y. This has caused the reflected ray towards the observer to change
with respect to the plane mirror.
By considering the changes in the incident and reflected rays,

Figure 6 shows a girl having a meal with her mother. She notices
that the lamp with a longer hanging wire oscillates more slowly.
Based on the observation in Figure 5,

6. The figure shows a starter motor of a car connected to a 12 V battery.


When the starter motor is switched on, high current flows from the battery
to the motor through a wire. To reduce energy in it, the wire used is thick
and short.

Using this information;


(a) make one suitable inference, [ 1 mark ]

(b) state one appropriate hypothesis that could be investigated.

7.Diagram 7.1 and 7.2 shows two roadside stalls selling “ABC” and “PAU”.

Both stalls are using the same bulbs and batteries that are new. The
bulb at the “ABC” stall is brighter than the bulb at the “PAU” stall.

8.The figure below shows water waves propagated from the sea towards
the shore.

Observed the wave pattern and the sea-bed.

10. Diagram 10.1 and Diagram 10.2 show two cranes transferring different
loads of scrapped irons. The solenoid used in the crane in Diagram
10.1 has fewer coils than the crane in Diagram 10.2. Both using the
same magnitude of current supply to operate.

Based on the information and the observation above:
