User Manual – Price List Import

Price List Import

This feature is used to automate the Price List entry. This TDL import the data from Excel sheet,
MS Access and other types of it will automate the price list.

To achieve this feature we have to do the following steps:

1. Attach the file Price List Import.tdl andexecute Tally.ERP 9 and select the required
Company.

Note: For further information on downloading and attaching TDL to Tally.ERP9, please refer the
document Steps to enable TDL in the same section/page at the beginning.

2. Copy the files Price List in Excel.xls and TBK900.001 to C:\ from Supporting Files. Zip
3. Copy Price List Import.TDL to C:\
4. Start Tally.ERP 9 and restore the Backup from the source C:\

Note: Prior to restoring the backup, please ensure that Folder 10026 does not exist in your
data. If it exists, rename the same to the last unused number and proceed with Restore.

5. On restoring the Backup, select the company Stock Item with Price Levels which is setup
for Price Levels.

6. Select item Price List Import from the Gateway of Tally menu.

It shows the Price List Import Configuration Screen as below:

• Price List Source From: Mention the type of file. In this case there are three different
options: Excel, MS Access and Other. Other means any other files like SQL etc.
• Driver Info: Enter the driver information depends on the file type.
• Location of File : Enter the path of the file
• File Name : Enter the file name with extension
• Table/Sheet Name : Enter the name of the sheet or Table
• Specify the correct Column Titles for each field under Column Titles for the following

7. After setting the details of PriceList Import configuration screen you will get the screen as
shown.

8. Click Yes. It will show the screen with the message Process Completed Successfully

Note: ItemName in Tally .ERP9 should match with the ItemName mentioned in Excel.
Ex: Gateway of Tally -> Inventory Info -> Price List -> Here Item Name Should Match with
the Excel Sheet Item Name.

For this Case you need to create the Item Names F.G.1, F.G.2, F.G.3 & F.G.4, before you
import the price list.

9. After importing the price list this TDL automatically shows the Item Price List Screen as
shown:

10. The Imported Price List Details can be observed from Inventory Info -> Price List.

11. Select the groups which you want to see the price list as shown:

12. Give the appropriate Price Level and Application From, and then it automatically displays
the imported values as shown.

Based on Price Level & Date, Price List will be imported to Tally.

Note: This TDL can be a ready made business solution and also serve as a reference for all
such market requirements.
