factors affecting the global market-place, along with the entire process from a practical, customer-driven viewpoint.
This is a multidisciplinary course designed to provide the participants an insight into International Trade with

International Intellectual Property Rights Conference

The Institute of International Trade, Kolkata, was the knowledge partner of the
International IPR Conference (for the second consecutive year), organized by ITAG Business
Solutions Ltd., co-organised by Bangalore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a
second knowledge partner—Sughrue Mion PLC, USA.
The theme of the conference was IP Leveraging in Software, Electronics and Green
Technology. The conference dealt with specific technology across various industries, world leaders and the patenting solutions.
The 5-day program focused on the concerns of practicing International Trade professionals
and aimed at understanding the factors affecting the global market-place, along with the
entire process from a practical, industry-cum-customer-driven viewpoint. A multidiscipli-
nary approach was adopted to provide the participants an insight into International Trade
with emphasis on export-import management. The program concluded with a visit to the
Kolkata Port Trust, where the participants were briefed on various types of carriers, cargoes along with their loading and
unloading procedures, customs procedures, legal documents and barriers, and port rules and regulations.
