PROFILE OF THE ORGANISATION
ORIGIN
Established in the year 1975 BEPL entered in to small fabrication works
of M/s BHEL, Trichy. Today BEPL is in a position to boast itself as the pioneer
in manufacture of components for power plant equipment namely boiler, heat
exchanger, auxiliaries, HRSG, WHB, low and High pressure piping, structures
etc.., conforming to requirements of ASME, ANSI,IBR, ISO, NPCIL etc..,
Excellent financial resources coupled with most dedicated team of
technocrats, professionals and technicians aided with high quality management
systems has ensured a growth rate of 15% per annum.
Today we are proud to say that BEPL have grown to the status of a global
player especially with accreditation to ISO 9001:200by BVQI.
8
The boiler pressure part that we manufacture are well deem fit in the
range of 10MW to 500MW. Every single component right from loose tube
bends to Economizer coils manufactured with great care. We have the capability
to manufacture critical components namely furnace walls, boiler tubes, header
and main and reheat steam lines, Superheated steam lines etc…
Every invent starts with the basic research so as we, our material
preparation consists of the following:
Oxy-acetylene gas cutting, pug cutting, profile cutting, Air plasma cutting,
hydraulic shearing machine, friction and wheel cutting, band saw.
Shielded metal arc welding, Gas metal arc welding, Tungsten arc welding,
Submerged arc welding, Stud welding.
Machine equipments:
Centre lathe, Shaping, Radial drilling, Portable drilling, portable magnetic
vertical drilling.
9
Surface preparation:
Abrasive /Shot blasting and Sand blasting.
Grinding machine:
Bench grinding machine A.G.7 Grinding machine G.Q.6 Grinding machine,
Flexible shaft high-speed portable Grinding machine.
Heat treatment:
Oil fired furnace of size 8000X4000X4000*, Electric furnace
3000X2000X2000*.
Non-Destructive testing:
Isotope radiography*, ultrasonic testing*, magnetic particle testing*, liquid
penetrant testing, hydrostatic testing and spectrographic testing*.

Frames, Stringer Channels, Conveyer standard sleeper with Vertical Legs,
Wheel assemblies for BWE, etc.,
Our unit has recently designed and manufactured a machine for Automatic
Welding of Water Wall Panels. Maximum width of panel can go upto 2500mm
which is more than what is required for standard water wall panels. Maximum
length of panel can go upto 11000mm and we have supplied panels from Tube
of various Diameter from Ø38mm to Ø76mm and fin width from 24mm
onwards. The process involves MIG with 2Torches and the machine is fully
equipped with electronic controls for various fillet sizes, automatic start and
stop, automatic synchronization of torches, hydraulic clamping automatic
suction of exhaust fumes, loading and unloading of panels and also has
provisions for increase in number of torches. 600Rms of welding per shift is
normally achieved.
EXPERIENCE
The long business association with world renowned organization gave us the
opportunity to learn from their rich experience in the terms of engineering,
technology, project management and quality management systems.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
RESEARCH PROCESS
Different steps are to be followed in the research process and they are explained
as below:
1. PROBLEM SOLVING
This is the basic step in the research process. It is well said, “A problem
well defined is half solved” here the problem is “To analyze the attitudes of the
employees regarding the various benefits provided to them by BEPL”
2. RESEARCH DESIGN
Once the problem is defined the next step is the Research Design.
Research design is the basic framework, which provides guidelines for the rest
of the research process.
3. SAMPLING DESIGN
The sampling design used in this project is CONVENIENT SAMPLING,
as the sample of the employees for the survey were selected from the
organization from different quotas
4. POPULATION
The total element of the universe from which the sample is to be selected
to be studied is known as population. The populations of my research are the
employees of BEPL.
5. SAMPLE SIZE
The sample size for my project is 100 employees working in the
organization,
