St. Sava / Feast day: January 14
Sava was the son of Stephen I, founder of the
Nemanydes dynasty and also known as Sabas.
He became a monk on Mount Athos in Greece
Dates Jan. 9th through Jan. 16th, 2011 when he was 17. With his father, who abdicated
