YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO SHOW CAUSE at 10:00 a.m. on

August 25, 2008, or as soon thereafter as the litigants may be heard in Department

512 of the above entitled court, located at 24405 Amador Street, Hayward,

California, and in light of the Cou rt of Appeal's August 7, 2008 ruling in case

numbers Al22172 and Al22249, why this court should not enter an amended

judgment in this proceeding, to become effective and enforceable seven calendar

days after the entry


of the amended judgment, granting in part and denying in

the Petitions for Writ of Mandate filed by Panoramic Hill Association, City of

Berkeley and California Oak Foundation, et al. (collectively, 'Petitioners") as set

in the Judgment entered July 22, 2008; deeming the University's Response,
forth

filed June 27, 2008, as a return to the Peremptory Writ of Mandate that was issued

on July 22, 2008; determining that Respondents The Regents of the University of

California, the University of California Berkeley, and Edward J. Denton

(collectively, "Respondents") have now complied with the Peremptory Writ of

Mandate, the Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zoning Act, Public Resources Code

section 2621, et seq. ("Alqthst-Priolo"), and the California Environmental Quality

Act, Public Resources Code section 21000, et seq. ("CEQA"); and apportioning

in the Judgment entered July 22, 2008.

serve any papers regarding this Order to Show Cause.
