Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Project: SIP – Session Initiation Protocol
SIP is an Internet protocol that enables communication between Internet Protocol (IP) telephony
gateways, end-systems, and SIP proxy servers. SIP is patterned after the Hypertext Transfer
Protocol (HTTP) web server protocol and is accepted as a standard by the Internet Engineering
Task Force (IETF). SIP focuses on call setup and tear-down mechanisms and works according to
the distributed computing paradigm.

Involved in Testing of SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL based Dynamicsoft network core


products such as Session Management Suite (SMS 1.2), Java and C++ User Agents, Basic
Proxy Server, Firewall Controlled Proxy Server, Edge Proxy, Location Server, Provisional
Console, Route Engine, Aggregate Manager, Presence Server and Application Server.
These products are written in Java and C++ and the database was Oracle 8i and on Windows
2000 and Sun Solaris 2.8

Responsibilities:
• Participated in developing test plans for User Agent, Firewall Controlled Proxy Server,
Location Server/ Provisioning Console, and Application Server.

front end used is Visual Basic and the back end is Oracle 8.0 on UNIX HP 9000 v11.0. Vendor
Software package is MS NT server v 4.0, MS SQL server v 6.5, MS Internet Explorer 5.0, Perl
5.0, Oracle 8.

Responsibilities:
• Performed various black box testing using methodologies such as: System Testing,
Regression Testing, Volume Testing, and Performance Testing on the application.
• Tested the functionality of different screens by performing object testing & functionality
testing.
• Developed SQL Queries for checking the Data Transaction and Database Integrity.

Project: Sales and order & inventory Control System
Responsibilities:
• Involved in designing of test plans & test cases.
• Identified the Test requirements based on business requirements of the application.
• Performed GUI and functionality testing.
• Performed server testing.
• Responsible for performing Unit testing and Build testing conducted the Systems testing,
which include Functional testing, Installation testing, Configuration testing, Volume
testing, Performance testing and Beta testing before the software was marketed.
• Regression testing was performed after each new build of the application.
• Developed testing environment and UUCP all data files and SQLLOAD into tables.
• Validated all by generating database queries into SQLPLUS on Oracle Database.
