TRUE areas nearer the poles appear larger that they really are. For example,

to be equal to the distance between C & D but in fact the distance be-

latitude
Like paper maps, ImgOsm presents a map with the longitudes linearly
at the horizontal axis and the latitudes linearly at the vertical axis. To
map correctly the distortion, ImgOsm uses ellipsoid grid that marks the
distances AND NOT the latitudes and longitudes. Therefore, the lines

Garmin Map Levels

Img Map Level refers to the several levels of resolution available in a sin-
gle Garmin map. The level with the finest resolution is numbered 0. A level
may also contain information not available in other levels.

When Img Map Level = Manual, an extra slider bar appears the menu. In
this example, you can choose any 3 levels (level 2, 1 & 0).
This setting is suitable if you are a map developer and wish to observe the
map in different resolution in different scale. When zoomed-in to low-res
level, expect rough edges and poor rendering. When zoomed-out to hi-res
level, expect slower performance.
