Degree Completion Requirements
The following credit hours are required for the completion of degrees:

A CGPA of 2.5 is required to graduate from the BBA (Hons.) / B.Sc. (Hons.), Regular MBA and MBA for Professional
Programmes.
Academic Year
For the Bachelors Programmes, the Academic Year consists of 2 Regular Terms or Semesters (Winter & Spring) and
an Optional Summer Term. The Winter Term from September – December and Spring Term from January – April
consist of 16 weeks each including one week for Mid Term Exams and one week for Final Term Exams. There is an
Optional Summer Term from May – July. This consists of 12 weeks including a week for Final Term Exams.
For the MBA Programmes, the Academic Year consists of 3 Terms or Semesters (Winter, Spring, Summer). The
Winter Term from September – December and Spring Term from January - April consist of 16 weeks each including
one week for Mid Term Exams and one week for Final Term Exams. The Summer Term is from May – July. This
consists of 12 weeks including a week for Mid Term Exams and one week for Final Term Exams.
Credit Hours: All Bachelors and Masters Courses are 3 credit hours each.
Course Load: Bachelor students can take a maximum of 18 credit hours during the regular winter and spring semesters
and a maximum of 9 credit hours in the optional summer semester. The Research Method Course and Research Project
in the fourth year of the Bachelors Programme cannot be advanced to an earlier semester.
Admission, Probation, Grading Policy & Transcripts
No student will be admitted/ enrolled on a provisional basis in BSc (Hons)/ BBA (Hons)/ Regular MBA and MBA for
Professionals degree programme without submitting the certificates/degree in respect of the pre-requisite qualifications
required for that particular degree. The details on admissions are defined in Regulation IX.
A student joining the B.Sc. (Hons.) / BBA (Hons.), 1st Year of Regular MBA and MBA for Professionals 1st Year shall be
separated from the Programme if he/she fails in 3 courses in the first semester or has a CGPA of less than 1.0. Students
with GPA less than 1.5 in any of the subsequent terms will also be separated from the Programme.Students with CGPA
less than 2.0 will be placed on “first probation” as defined below.
A student joining MBA 2nd Year after BBA (Hons.) / B.Sc. (Hons.) shall be separated from the MBA Programme if he
/ she fails in 3 courses in the first semester or has a CGPA of less than 1.5. Students with CGPA less than 1.5 in any of
the subsequent terms will also be separated from the Programme. Students with CGPA less than 2.0 will be placed on
“first probation” as defined below.
Whenever a student’s CGPA decreases from 2.0 he/she will be placed on “first probation” for the next semester. If the
student does not come out by increasing his/ her CGPA to 2.0 then, he/she will go on “Last Probation”. If a student
who was earlier on “first probation”, does not come out in the “last probation” by achieving the minimum desired
CGPA, he/she shall be dropped out from the Lahore School and cannot be re-admitted into the Lahore School.
All grades including ‘F’ would appear on the transcript until the ‘F’ is replaced by repeating the course. Course repeat requires
registration and fee payment. A maximum of two repeats in a failed course are allowed.
Students are allowed to repeat a course once in order to improve their grade. The original course grade and the repeat
course grade will be shown in chronological order and the better grade will be included in the CGPA computation. A
student can be allowed a maximum of 6 courses to improve their grades at the undergraduate level. At the graduate
level they can repeat a maximum of 3 courses to improve their grades.
No grade changes will be made after the term following the course semester.
Dean’s Honor’s List
The top 10% of students of the graduating class and students with CGPA of 4.0 will be placed on the Dean’s Honor’s
List.
