SEMESTER 03/04

SYNOPSIS:
This subject is to provide knowledge and experience to students on microprocessor and
microcomputer system operation. It also includes the design, programming and interfacing of
a microcomputer system.

OBJECTIVE:
1. To learn and develop knowledge in microprocessor systems and design.
2. To learn and describe the operation of a microprocessor system.
3. To learn and write assembly language program for microprocessor.
4. To learn microprocessor interfacing techniques.

The theoretical aspects will be covered through lectures and tutorials. Practical will
mainly involve the use of simulation package and microprocessor trainer kit as an aid to
design work.
A mini project will be given at week 7/8 of the semester.
