Release Notes

Version 1.11
DMCplus for Honeywell TDC 3000 Release Notes
April 23, 1999
Version 1.11

This document contains a summary of the changes made to the DMCplus for Honeywell
TDC 3000 software since the release of the 1.10 version. Information for the software
installation and known issues with troubleshooting hints, if available, are also provided in
this document. This document is intended specifically to support the installation of
DMCplus software on the Honeywell TDC 3000. Please refer to the DMCplus online and
offline installation support documentation for additional information.

1. General Information
The DMCplus for Honeywell TDC 3000 software release is intended to support the
configuration of DMCplus applications on traditional LCN based hardware and on
newer GUS and APP nodes.
Upon request, the LCN components can be distributed on Bernoulli disk.
The release notes and the DMCplus for Honeywell TDC 3000 User’s Guide are
included on the CD-ROM in the Docs directory in .pdf format.

2. Software Fixes

2.1. External Targets

2.1.1. Corrections have been made to the external target functionality in both
the DMCplus TDC 3000 displays and the CL programs.

2.2. Displays

2.2.1. Cosmetic display problems noted in previous releases have been

corrected.

3. Software Enhancements

3.1. Software Installation

The software is distributed on CD-ROM and consists of the following

components:

• CCF2EB utility

• TDC3KAPPWiz DMCplus Build configuration template

The TDC3KAPPWiz.tcc DMCplus Build template is provided for
DMCplus controller configuration on an APP node, which supports the
OPC Cim-IO interface. The previous version Tdc3KWiz.tcc template
included with the DMCplus Build distribution software is used for
controller implementation with the Cim-IO to OpenDDA or Cim-IO to
CM50S interface.

• LCN TDC 3000 components

The LCN TDC 3000 components include LCN graphics, CDS and CL
packages, LCN subpictures, and LCN demo controller.

3.2. Mode Switching and Monitoring

3.2.1. Enabling a subcontroller sets the manipulated variables to cascade

mode. Conversely, when a subcontroller is disabled, the MVs for that
subcontroller shed back to their normal operating modes. In addition,
when all MVs in a subcontroller are disabled, the subcontroller sheds
to OFF.

3.2.2. Controllers can now be operated from the DMCplus View displays.

3.3. IO Smart-Data Types

3.3.1. Manipulated variable loop status and anti-windup status are now
calculated independently of IO smart-data types. The APP node
configuration utilizes the Cim-IO OPC interface, which does not
support IO smart-data types.

For Cim-IO for OPC, it is required to read AWSCOD and LOOPST

from the CDS packages. Cim-IO for Honeywell CM50S and Cim-IO

for Honeywell OpenDDA do support the smart-data types. Controllers
using these interfaces have the option of continuing to use them or
reading the values from the CDS packages.

4. Known Issues/Troubleshooting

4.1. External Targets

4.2.1 The manipulated variable, PLUSMV, and controlled variable,
PLUSCV, displays contain external target parameters, ETNEW and
ETAGE, which are not used in the current DMCplus software. These
new parameters for external target status indication and timestamp are
expected to be implemented in the DMCplus version 1.2 software.
