Telephone fundraiser, Kingston University 2009-present
Having worked as a fundraiser on two telethons to raise funds for the
university, I have been asked to return for a third session not only
as a fundraiser but as part of the selection panel for new candidates.
In the last telethon, I raised £14,000 personally: the most any
fundraiser has ever raised for the university since it began
fundraising in 2004. I feel that this really highlights my
interpersonal and persuasive skills, and my ability to think on my
feet and work well under pressure. My recent promotion to the
selection panel reflects my growing leadership and decision-making
skills.

Student Ambassador, Kingston University 2010-present

As a student ambassador, I have gained key skills in market research
and promotion. Recently, I conducted a comprehensive market scan of
short courses from competing universities. This furthered my market
analysis and data entry skills. I have also worked not only at open
days, but at higher education fairs, promoting the university. Events
like these give me a fantastic opportunity to communicate with people
from a wide range of backgrounds.

Workshop Supervisor, UCA Canterbury, 2007-2009

During my BTEC national diploma, I helped to run art and design
workshops across a variety of disciplines for secondary school
students with learning difficulties. I found this to be a very
rewarding experience as it challenged me to engage creatively with a
different range of people.
