DIRECT ADMISSION TO 2nd YEAR (III SEMESTER), FULL TIME B.TECH/DUAL DEGREE COURSES (Lateral Entry) 
 
Very  few  seats  ARE  available  in  the  second  year  (3rd  semester)  of  UG  Programs  due  to  some  students  having  left. 
Therefore, the Management has decided to take a few candidates directly in the second year (3rd semester).The No of 
seats available are as per Table below. However all seats may not be filled and the No’s taken shall be dependent upon 
the performance of the candidates and minimum cut off limit applied by the selection committee.

ELIGIBILITY 
• The candidates should have passed first year in B. Tech from a recognized university or; Passed three years diploma after 
10+ (Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination) with minimum aggregate of 60% marks in science and math’s in a 
single sitting in the qualifying exam for diploma course, from a State Board of Technical Education & Training . 
• Further,  only  those  candidates  who  have  qualified  in  Electronics,  Computer  Science,  IT,  Biotechnology  / 
Bioinformatics,  and  Chemical  Engineering  or  those  likely  to  pass  the  same  in  2011,  are  eligible  for  respective 
branches  as  shown  in  the  Table  above.  Those  appearing  for  qualifying  exams  in  2011  shall  have  to  produce  the 
passed certificates before 30 September 2011. In case delay is anticipated in the results such students are advised 
not to appear for the examination. 
• Eligibility Criteria of qualifying stream  is sacrosanct and no requests for accepting applications from candidates who 
have done Diploma or First year in branches other than mentioned in the table above shall be accepted on the plea 
of Equivalent or common courses in Diploma/1st Year. 
SELECTION PROCESS  
The  admission  will  be  purely  on  merit.  The  merit  is  based  on  the  total  of  marks  obtained  in  Admission  Entrance  Test: 
2011  conducted  at  JIIT,  Noida  and  assigned  weight  age  to  10th/11th/12th‐(Highest  Exam  before  Diploma)  for  Diploma 
holders  or  12th  standard  examinations  (For  1st  Year  B  Tech  Students).  Selected  candidates  will  be  offered  provisional 
admission subject to production of certificates with proof of qualification / eligibility conditions. The list will be displayed 
on  the  Institutional  Notice  Board  and  candidates informed  through  letters  and  e‐mails  also.  Candidates must  view  the 
website, for the results, within 10 days of the examination.   
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS 
Selected students shall have to take additional essential core courses of the branch in which they are admitted in addition to regular 
studies of the 2nd year. This shall be decided by the equivalence committee.  
APPLICATION FORMS 
• Application  forms  and  Information  Brochure  can  be  procured  from  the  Registrar,  Jaypee  Institute  of  Information 
Technology  A‐10,  Sector‐62,  Noida  (U.P),  India  in  person  by  cash  or  by  post  sending  a  Demand  Draft  for  Rs.  800/‐ 
payable in favor of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, at Noida/ Delhi. The same may also be downloaded from 
the web site and sent along with a DD of Rs. 800/‐ as above. The address to which the forms need to be sent is as 
given above i.e. Registrar, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology A‐10, Sector‐62, Noida (U.P), 
• The syllabus for admission test, Format of the papers and the Application form is uploaded on the website. 
FEE STRUCTURE  
The Tuition fee for the students being admitted for Academic Session 2010‐11 is as follows. 
 Tuition Fee  :   Rs. 35,000/‐ per Semester 
 Development Fee  :   Rs. 45,000/‐ per annum.  
 Hostel, Mess and Laundry Charges  :    Rs. 30.000/‐ per semester (Hostel is available only at JUET,                   
    Guna. Hostel is NA at JIIT, Noida  
 Caution Money  :    Rs.10,000/‐ one time at admission (refundable)
