APPLICATION PACKET
New Student Orientation is taking on a new look this summer. Our goal is to create more opportunities for students
to connect with other students and hear about your experience at College of DuPage. We are looking for students
who:
Feel they have something valuable and important to share with incoming students and families
Are currently enrolled at College of DuPage and will be returning fall 2011
Are in good standing at COD (minimum GPA of 2.0)
Have good time management, communication, and speaking skills
Are able to work in a team environment and amongst diverse groups
Desire to work with students, faculty, and staff
Have a positive, enthusiastic, and motivated attitude
Are comfortable or willing to address groups of people
To participate in the Orientation Leader Program you must be available April 27-29, 2011 for an interview.
Orientation Leaders are required to attend all training, team building, and Orientation sessions below.
Spring Training/Team Building: May 6, 2011- 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.- Oasis Lounge
Summer Training/Team Building: May 26, 2011- 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. - Oasis Lounge
June 16, 2011- 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. - Oasis Lounge
June 30, 2011- Optional Social Event TBA*
July 14, 2011- 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. - Oasis Lounge
July 28, 2011- 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. - Oasis Lounge
August 4, 2011- 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. - Oasis Lounge
Orientation Dates: Must be available from 7:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 11, 2011- MAC
Friday, August 12, 2011- MAC
Monday, August 15, 2011- MAC
New Student Outreach: August 22-September 2, 2011
5 hours over 2 weeks - flexible with your schedule

APPLICATION INFORMATION
Requirements for Orientation Leader include, but are not limited to:
Must be a student currently enrolled at College of DuPage
Must be in good standing at COD (minimum GPA of 2.0)

Please submit Recommendation Letters with application or send directly to Office of Student Life
(deadline is same as application).
Individual interviews are required of all applicants. Interviews will take place April 27-29, 2011. Once
your application is reviewed, if you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted for an
appointment.
