Everstone considers its intellectual property to be a crucial mean for its existence, its
strong base support to its Loyal Customers and its leadership in the market and will
continue in taking decisive action, including filing of both civil and criminal lawsuits, to
protect these properties
These latest infringements include mainly copies of popular products such as the
AQUASTONE (a combination of Glass and resin bonded Stone Pebbles), the CROSSOVER,
(a dynamic glass and porcelain strip pattern) and the latest WATERCUBE and ICEBERG,
(unique 3D glass mosaic designs). In some cases, these infringing companies also utilize
internet websites to market copies of these products across the USA, Canada, EU
territory and China. In some despicable cases, going as far as not only using same
product name and code but also the same EVERSTONE logo on their package.
Mr John Zeng, continued to says, "We need to protect our Loyal Customers and we
cannot stand by and watch these copy-cats stealing our registered designs. We have
decided to do everything and anything possible to fight them... Competition is welcomed
but has to be healthy and fair. The competitors should create their own products, not
just steal our work and ideas.”
In the past many years, EVERSTONE has introduced many innovative and very popular
designs to the market, such as “MAGIC” Glass mosaic; Bubble Glass mosaic; Glass and
Stone blends; Stainless Steel mosaics and many others. But only in the past few years
the need to resource to IP protection has become evident and essential because
EVERSTONE innovations have become a popular target for copycats in the mosaic
market.
"We are pleased with the results obtained so far from these legal actions. These are
important victories for EVERSTONE and its Customers." Continues EVERSTONE MD John
Zeng, "Failure to take action against these copycats would pose not only the risk of great
damage to the company’s brand value and public confidence, but also the risk for the
public to purchase secondary grade products that do not meet the quality expectations
of customers who mistake them for genuine products”
Fight and Beat Copycats – yes, we are watching the market, not only more attentively
but also much aggressively!
