Are humans rational animals or not?

Let’s define, rationality is a human capacity that allows us to think, evaluate and
act according to certain principles of optimality and consistency to meet a goal or
purpose. Using reason, human beings try to choose to get the most benefits.
Rational action is not explained by mechanical causality, but on the contrary, the
implementation of reasons. The reasons for the actions are, first, their motives
(desired ends) and, secondly, beliefs about the means available.

Based on this we would be saying that about 80% to 85% of the population of
USA (including Puerto Rico) are NOT rational animals, will only be animals, I
exclude myself because based on what I’m about to write I'm not in that majority
but in the minority, that if you strip it down to numbers we r not that few. I will
discuss two topics widely spoken in which shows how the humans today are not
a rational animal. The topics to talk are religion and the planet.

Let's start with the simplest, the planet

The Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the fifth largest planet in the Solar
System. The planet was formed 4540 million years ago, did you read that? Let
me say it again, 4540 millions of years by which life appeared on its surface
about 1000 million years after. With this theme I want to address all those who
spend their days worrying about everything, air, water, trees, endangered
animals and stuff like that. Did you know that over 90% of all species that have
been in all those years on the planet are now extinct? Almost 99% but let's say
90 to not be so drastic, do any of you ever looked for which is the rate of extinct
by time / day / year? 3 species disappear every hour. Each day, up to 150
species. Each year, between 18,000 and 55,000 species become extinct. It is
estimated that the majority of species going extinct never been documented by
scientists.

The truth is that I put all this information so you guys see that I know what I’m
talking about but I do not care or pay much attention to all this, why? Because
who ever cares about these species is only an arrogant person is arrogant
because he is trying to control nature, what happened to that 90% that came
before us? They were not extinct by us humans. The truth is that this is a natural
process, something that takes place in the world every day and those species
are not going extinct because human behavior only because that’s natures way.
Look people, do not be arrogant and let nature do his thing. Above the species
thing some people dare to say that we must save the planet ... What the fuck
people, we are unable to handle humanity and still want to worry about the
planet, what the hell do you people think? People that think this way are just
selfish people, they really are, look them up and you will see for yourself, people
who only care about their welfare and where they live, nothing more. Think about
it, the planet's been here for many years and humans only by 200,000.
Seriously ... The math does not fail 4540 million years vs. 200.000 years. Do you
think we are a threat to the planet? Please do not be ignorant, the planet has
gone through much worse than humans, things I do not go into detail because I’ll
stay here talking. The planet is fine, we humans are fuck up, the planet is not
going anywhere, we are. You want an example? Easy ... Ask the people in Haiti
If they feel as a threat to the planet? Or if the planet is fine? We are like ants to
the planet, if he wants and it crushes us. The planet is self-correcting system and
adaptation has been taking place for millions of years and it will continue to do
so. Having said that don’t come to me and say that some aluminum cans and
plastic will be a harm to the planet, we are hurting ourselves but still is not
something that important to worry about like so many people do, there way more
important things to worried about, things that really need our attention, what are
they? That is for each of you to find out, each one of us have our own things but
sometimes we pass the above our view.

The truth of the matter is that we are all part of something bigger than we know,
many of you name it and surname but the truth is nobody knows, it's just a
system that is, period. With that said I hop to my next topic, religion.

Religion is not rational, quite the contrary, this is the only reason why has lasted
for so many years, challenged the logic because it gets it out of the picture,
shows no evidence or logic, only asks you to believe, the great call faith. But
what is faith? By definition it is not rational, is the belief in the lack of verification,
as superstition does not allow for moral action. For this and many more reasons
religion is not rational, just think logically for a minute in this: we do not choose
religion, is a case of luck, if you were born in Japan you would not believe in
Jesus. We don’t need to go so far, within our own society there are many
different religions, if your parents are Catholics chances are 90% that you also
will be too and think of others as wrong or not correct, same goes for just for
everyone else, all different religions. So many different versions, how is it
possible / logical that religion is true? All religions insist on total, although
contradictory, belief systems and assessments, only by accepting it completely
you can escape uncertainty. This is why religion without fanaticism is not
possible.

Religion in the first attempt to systematically explain the world, unfortunately, still
exists, Religion is a system not letting humans evolve. When we speak of good
and evil, many people use religion, with what moral? How dare they? Surely they
don’t know the history of religion, because religion has killed more people in the
name of "god" than anyone else in human history. Look for the story of the
Emperor Constantine to have an idea. Another thing many people say is that
religion is good to teach moral, look people, the animals around us day by day
have more moral and more to teach us than religion, for example look at bats;
When one gets sick does not move to go find food, just stand still resting to
recover, so another group mate brings food for the two and shares, having done
so he expect to be treat it the same way in the future if he gets sick. Any animal
that lives in groups have moral teachings, there’s a lot to learn from them.
Religion however is a completely corrupt system like the government, but that's a
topic for another day, the same people who gave us the government gave us our
religion, to keep ordinary people without logic on the line, as cows a in a trap,
ready to be eating when they need us. Humanity became non-rational animals
and we do not open our eyes and see that.

I can talk a lot more of this topic but I think the point is clear.

Those of you who belong to 15% -20% above discus I urge you to talk, to be
more open to the situation, it is time the world realize that we, the minority are not
the "crazy" ones as they call us, a 15-20% together is a great voice. For those of
you belonging to the majority I hope you can open your eyes some day and think
like a rational animal, logically. The only way to freedom is power and power
comes from knowledge.

PS: Long time ago most people believed that the world was flat while a minority
