DRAGONFLY ECOTOURS offers opportunities to tourists to experience the pristine beauty

and nature’s pulse of life in the beautiful province of Iloilo. In honor of its commitment to nature
preservation, conservation and protection, Dragonfly includes in its tours earth-friendly
activities such as tree planting and short talks on the destination areas’ flora and fauna. Come
join Dragonfly retreat to interesting, refreshing places and leave refreshed and invigorated!

Through our nature-friendly ecotour packages, DRAGONFLY ECOTOURS aims to:

 support the tourist destination area’s host community by providing additional sources of
income.
 inspire tourists for greater environmental appreciation.
 raise the awareness of tourists and the community about local and global issues and
our role in the environment.
 inspire tourists and the community to be involved in environmental causes.

our beginning

DRAGONFLY ECOTOURS was born through the merging of the founder’s two passions:
tourism and environmental preservation, conservation and protection. The founder, Pearl
Arroyo, lives in the province of Iloilo, a place rich with natural attractions. Most of these places
are not yet famous to tourists and Pearl wanted to bring these places into the ecotourism
spotlight. Taking into consideration the negative impacts on the environment that mass tourism
can bring, she thought of offering environment-friendly, small-group, nature-based tours.
Armed with learning and experiences from teaching tourism studies to college students and
living an adventurous lifestyle, she started to design tour packages that will leave a positive
impact on the local community, the tourists, and the environment.

Trekking and Caving in Amazing Bulabog

Awaken the adventurer in you as you trek to these caves! The national park occupies 854
hectares of forest and is home to various plant and animal life. As you walk under the shade of
huge trees, expect to see butterflies fluttering by and fat millipedes milling around. See up
close thousands of bats, stalactites and stalagmites as you get to visit five of the park's more
than thirty caves. The caves are rich with history as many of these were used by the
revolutionary forces in Iloilo, Philippines during the Spanish occupational period.

Itinerary:

6-7 AM - pick-up at hotel, travel to Bulabog Putian National Park

7 AM - arrival at Bulabog
- breakfast
- orientation about park rules and regulations, short talk about the area’s flora
and fauna
- trekking and caving (snacks will be distributed on trail)
1 PM - end of trekking and caving
- lunch
- tree planting
- wrap-up session/ lecture
4PM - end of tour
4-5 PM - travel back to hotel
