Yarn: Filcolana Arwetta ekstra fin merino, fingering
weight
Note: American terms!
Gauge: each shell approx. 5 cm wide.

Make 96 ch

1. row
9 tr in the 4. ch from the hook * skip 3 st, 1 sc in
the following st, skip 3 st, 9 tr in the following st *
Repeat from * to *. End by skipping 3 st and do-
ing1 fm in the last st. (12 shells)
Jpin with sl st, be careful not to twist.

2. row
Turn upside down and crochet 9 tr in the middle of
each shell and a sc in each sc.

3. row
4 sl st to the middle of first shell, sc in the middle
of the shell, @ 4 ch, * yo twice, draw yarn through
next st, yo, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook, yo,
draw yarn through 2 loops on hook * now 2 loops
on hook. Repeat from * to * in the next 8 st, so that
you now have 10 loops on the hook, yo and draw
yarn through all loops, 4 ch, sc in the middle of the
shell @. Repeat from @ to @ till the end of row, in
the last repeat do a sl st in the first sc instead of a
sc.

4. row
9 tr in the middle of the shell - repeat all row, sl st
in last st.

5-20. række
Repeat row 3 and 4 eight times.
Start shaping armholes. Front and back are crocheted seperately.

Crochet as for row 3, but only 5 shells (shells turning downwards).

22. row
Chrochet as for row 4, but only 5 shells (shells turning upwards).

23. row
4 sl st to the middle of the shell, sc in the middle of the shell. Crochet as for row 3, but only 4 shells.

24. row
Crochet as for row 4, but only 4 shells.

and 2 half shells.

Now do the shoulderstraps.

4 ch, *yo twice, draw yarn through next st, yo, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook, yo, draw yarn through 2
loops on hook * now 2 loops on hook. Repeat from * to * in the next 8 st, so that you now have 10 loops on
the hook, yo and draw yarn through all loops, 4 ch, sc in the middle of the next shell. Turn.

28. row
9 tr in the middle of the shell, 1 sl st in the rim right next to the shell. Turn.

Buttonhole: (you could also just join the shoulderstraps from the front and the back to avois buttons, but
remember that babies are not too fond of having clothes pulled over their heads!))

1 ch, skip first st, 4 sc, 3 ch, skip 1 st, 4 fm, 1 sl st in the rim. Turn.
1 ch, 4 sl st, 3 sc in 3 ch sp, 5 sl st. Fasten off.
Do the second shoulderstrap in the same way.

Front:
Begin 1 shell from the back.

Crochet as for row 3, but do only 5 shells.

22. row
Crochet as for row 4, but only 5 shells.

23. row
4 sl st to the middle of the shell. Sc in the middle. Crochet as for row 3, but only 4 shells.

24. row
As row 4, but only 4 shells. Fasten off.

Crochet 1 row of sc in the lower edge of the dress.

Fasten off, weave in ends, block it and sew buttons on.

Variation: striped dress: (for another variation, leave out the 3. row of this variation)

5. række
9 tr in the middle of each shell and a sc in each sc. fasten off.

Repeat row 3-5 as for the normal dress doing the colorchanges and the extra sc row alle the way through.
