DOCUMENTATION
1. General

New works and modifications to Building Engineering Services within WSCC

Buildings shall only be undertaken by suitably qualified and experienced
contractors.

All works shall be designed, installed, tested and commissioned to meet best
industry standards and in compliance with the relevant current British and / or
European Standards for the work being undertaken.

2. Some of the key standards are listed below but others may be relevant
depending on the nature of the work being carried out.

3. On completion of all works, testing and commissioning shall be carried out to

confirm that all systems and associated equipment are safe for use, and
operating within the anticipated design parameters.

This testing and commissioning shall be fully documented and certificates shall
be provided for each system before they will be accepted as complete.

New installations and modifications shall not be put into use unless the
necessary certifications have been received.

Guidance on the likely documentation required for each system / installation is

contained within the schedule in Appendix 1 of this BCD.
