Chemical Characterization: Aqueous co-polymer dispersion on the basis of (methy)acrylic


acid ester, free of softening agents.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

General information: Remove contaminated clothing immediately.


After skin contact: Wash off with soap and water. In case of complaints consult
physician.
After eye contact: Rinse open eye for several minutes under running water and
seek medical advice.
After ingestion: Consult physician immediately and show labelling. Do not
induce vomiting without physician.
Symptoms: No symptoms known.

5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

Suitable extinguishing media: Foam, dry extinguisher, carbon dioxide, water spray.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Direct water spray.
Special exposure hazards: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide can be emitted in case
of fire.
Protective equipment: If necessary wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Product itself is not combustible.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Person-related safety measures: Floor may be slippery; use care to avoid falling. Avoid
contact with skin and eyes.
Environmental protective
measures: Prevent contamination of soil, drains and surface waters.
Collect contaminated water and water used to extinguish
fire.
Methods of cleaning/absorption: Contain with absorbent material (sand, diatomaceous earth,
universal absorbent, acid absorbent, sawdust). Collect in
suitable containers and dispose according to section 13.
Wash out contaminated equipment (brushes, cloths) with
water immediately.

Handling:
Instructions on safe handling: When handling with large amounts, good ventilation
necessary. No special conditions necessary if handled and
stored correctly.

Requirements for storage areas: Store cool and dry. Protect against frost. Do not leave
containers open.

Comment: Do not allow to enter ground water, waterways or waste water. Can
be eliminated from water by chemical flocculation. According to
years of experience, product is not environmentally toxic. The
information available is based on profiles of compositionally similar
materials.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

Product: In accordance with local regulations, product may be taken to waste


disposal site or incineration plant, after consultation with site
operator and/or with the responsible authority.
Diluted solution may be discharged into biological sewage disposal
plants after approval of the responsible authority.
Dried product may be disposed of with regular waste.

Uncleaned packaging: Empty packaging properly. After cleaning these appropriately,


recycling is possible.
