4. For safety use, please read this instruction manual before use.
4-1 Installation Location
a. Keep out of direct sun light and out of being exposed to high temperatures.
b. Keep out of corrosive gas and falling droplet.
c. Keep away from the location where there is strong vibration or shock.
4-2 Mounting
a. Connect wires tightly with a solder-less terminal for M4 screw.
b. Use a terminal cover to help prevent electric shock.
c. To mount a DIN rail, plug into the case onto DIN rail closely.
Keep the clearance of 5mm or more between each unit to have ventilation
when multiple unit mounted.
d. Put the mounting block into the slide holder with 2 M4-screws.

4-3 Connection insert

a. Be sure to connect secondary wire of CT and VT to the ground.

b. Use a twist pair shielded cable for output signal and keep out of noise.
c. Be sure to connect the earth pin on the panel to the ground.
d. Keep separately wiring from high noise source such as power cables.
e. Connect each input wire correctly to each pin and care must be taken to wire phase
sequence and polarities according to connection diagram.

4-4 Output signal
a. Use only less than 600 ohm regarding output loads, keeping out of capacitive load.
b. Approximately 30 mA or 18V of output signal at maximum is applied on over-current
input, when the output range is 4 to 20 mA.

4-5 Auxiliary Power Supply

a. Switching-mode power supply is provided.
b. Auxiliary power supply should be connected to a power source which has enough
capacity.
(Double size power capacity of VA consumptions at each transducer is recommended)
c. In particular, care must be taken to calculate total power consumption when
VT for measurement is used for being powered on.
e.g. Required power capacity is calculated as below when ampere
or voltage transducers are 5 pieces;
2 VA X 5 pcs X 2(double) = 20 VA
.
d. Rush Current occurs when powered on.
At 100V AC, 300mA /5ms rushes into the circuit.
Care must be taken to ensure breaking capacity or use time delay breaker
when Fuse or NFB is used on the power line.

e. Transducer itself has a fuse for power breaking.

9. Maintenance
T series transducers are maintenance-free. To make a safety check, please refer to the below
procedures.
9-1 Calibration of Output Value
a. Before recalibrating
Zero and Span pots are on the panel face.
Remove the cover and adjust them by a plus driver.
Adjusting them should be started in 15 minutes after powered on.
Set up a calibrator.
Output level increases by potentiometer clockwise turning.
Typically 3 to 5 % level of the output span is adjustable.
b. Zero adjusting
Connect a transducer to analog output pins then adjust the analog output to
zero or any desired value as measured on the calibrator.
Ex. Adjust 4.00 mA for 4-20mA application.
c. Span adjusting
Using SPAN potentiometer, adjust the analog output to the desired span value
as measured on the calibrator.
Ex. Adjust 20.00 mA for 4-20mA application.

9-2 Troubleshooting on recalibrating. (4-20mA calibrated case)
a. No low output value available.
Check the input pins whether tightened enough or not.
Check the power supply pins whether power supplied or not.
Power off once then on to check the transducer starts to work or not.
Check the fuse is broken, or not. (Send it back to Takemoto if broken)

b. No high output value available.

Check the input pins whether tightened enough or not.
Use other calibrator to check the output value.
Check the output cable is shorted or not.

c. Unstable or over ranged output value available

Check the input pins whether tightened enough or not.
Check configurations and polarities for VT or CT connected correctly
using connection diagram for Watt and Power Factor transducer.
Zero or Span output value is varied.
Check any noise or electromagnetic interference to the line.

d. The transducer is abnormally heated up and exceeded 15 degree C than

the surrounding temperature.
Turn off the power immediately then send it back to Takemoto
