Introduction

ASIA PACIFIC YOUTH FORUM aims to raise awareness and empower Vietnamese youth with
respect to the topic of Responsibility, and what youth can do to contribute to the betterment of
society. The forum creates an open-dialogue between the youths and the businesses about
issues we face in each of our communities with regards to environmental protection, poverty,
gender equality, diversity and inclusion, etc.

By the end of the day, the youth is expected to understand and answer to themselves what they
care about, and how they can take actions toward it.

1) Explain your opinion about a company’s responsibilities towards their employees, the community
and the environment.

A company’s responsibilities toward :

- Their employees :

+ People are companies’ s life force and it needs to be used wisely in order to
generate sustainable benefits ,hence a company should pay salary appropriately
according to the value of their works and effort to satisfy their employees

emotionally and physically

+ Company cannot develop without sufficient development of its intellectual asset


and users of which, therefore, company should as well ensure their employees’s
development .

- Community :

+ Poor quality of education leads to poor quality source of potential employees =>
invest on education system

+ Low quality of living condition leads to social insecurity and turmoil => support on
society/community development activities

- Environment :

+ Unsustainable exploitation of environment leads to scarcity which cause rises in


cost of materials and living cost of employees => invest on ecological friendly
system of function , support for environmental recovery/protection initiatives .

2) Have you ever been involved in any community-service activities? Briefly describe your experience
and what you have learnt?

My past experience of community service consists of servicing voluntarily people taking


international internship via AIESEC Global exchange prgoram and facilitating them with
understanding about culture and Vietnamese ambassadorship.

For each person successfully sent abroad for internship, I got my plan of development
being abroad clearer .

When people came back from internship, I was shared with their world view and
knowledge .

Appreciating the value of my work facilitating people going abroad with essential
knowledge, I had the urge to research , challenge my understanding then little by little
master them .

My work is a small part of a big process that requires my participation in a team . Working
in a team is best way for you to practice interpersonal skills and sharpen your leadership .

3) How can corporate and youth work together in order to make our society better?

Corporate focus on sustain their business by generating profit and competing with
rivals .

Youth focus on their learning and earning of experience . They are willing to try thing
out and let their passion navigate their direction . Youth is crowded .They
are quick in action and making positive impacts on society .

Corporates can amplify the impacts by sponsor : funding for project or youth learning
opportunities (sharing of materials, experience ; training,mentoring ;
educational sponsorship) .

Youth can sustain corporate sponsored for them by becoming their promising
employees and amplifying their brand perception in the society .
