Marshall Haas was the creator and founder of The Apartment Guides throughout Ame
rica. He pioneered the Shop & Compare Format that has made the Apartment Guide a
household word for over thirty years.
Marshall's innovative marketing and publishing concept revolutionized how consum
ers found a place to live.
His unique approach caught the attention of many university educators around the
country and as a result, is
taught in several schools today from coast to coast. The University of Florida w
as the first school to teach
Marshall concept in 1975 and is still doing so today which was the year the Apar
tment Guide was created.
Haas Publishing became a publishing powerhouse as a result of the Apartment Guid
es with an average annual growth of over 100% from the first year for ten years.
For the next five years the co. had a growth of 784% all without borrowing mone
y. Marshall also created Distributech, a national free publication distribution
co. Both companies were sold and generate several hundred million dollars a year
and are international in operations.
