Project 1: Roles of Ca2+ permeable glutamate receptors in stroke.
Project 2: Impairment of synaptic plasticity in conditional L-type Ca2+ channel
knockout mice.

mistry, Ca2+ imaging, microscopy, etc) in genetically engineered mice.
* Produced and validated results that differed from earlier studies.

e and its derivatives) on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.

* Focused on drug actions on ligand-gated ion channels and drug resistance in C.
elegans.
* Independently established a novel method of using the patch-clamp technique fo
r recordings from C. elegans, a capability shared by very few laboratories in th
