being planned for the future than previously planned.
Successfully led team in analyzing various aspects of a major business unit (40
0M components annually) including process order variance, capacity planning, mac
hine productivity, labor utilization, scrap, and downtime. Further utilized the
data to strategically identify and prioritize Lean initiatives and continuous i
mprovement projects.
Established a standards review process for Bill of Materials (BOM), work center
s, and routers within SAP.
Identified the root causes of variance for material cost and overhead allocatio
n resulting in a significant reduction.
Coordinated the schedule and transition plan from rail car delivery to truck tr
ansportation by leading a cross-functional team including Purchasing, Manufactur
ing, Quality Control (Incoming), and Quality Assurance (Validation). Prior to t

Reduced labor requirements in some processes by more than 50% which also result
ed in a reduction of worker injury and overall training.
Designed and implemented new systems incorporating new machinery and processes
as a project manager, e.g. Plant Processing System, Automated Propagation Plug
Sorting System.
Originated and justified over $1M in operating leases for process equipment due
to budget constraints resulting in a return of investment of over 30%.
Improved efficiency, productivity and throughput by incorporating tools such as
Lean Manufacturing, time studies, bottleneck analysis, line balancing, work sta
tion design, cost reduction, Kaizen, JIT, Lean Six Sigma, Quality/ISO processes,
