BUILDING COMMITTEE

Achievements
1) We are on course to complete the Construction of the Parsonage at
Tynwald North. As we report today the following have been done
• Roof – The parsonage’s roof is in place as we managed to buy
the timber in October leading to the tiling in December.
• Flooring – We have managed to initially put rough floors for
the whole house pending the fitting of the tiles in the
respective rooms.
• In preparation for the electrical wiring of house, we have put
in the conduit pipes and boxes for the sockets.
• Plaster – The whole interior of the house has been plastered to
habitable standards. The exterior is yet to be plastered but
this will form part of the final finish.
• Window frames – Last year we reported that all the brickwork
was 95% complete. We are glad to inform this conference that
the brickwork is now 100 % complete. We also managed to
install all the window frames for the house. The window sills
are also in place. Glazing of the whole house is set to follow.
• Our youths accepted our request to flatten and landscape the
whole stand and we are glad to report that the task was well
done and we would like to thank those who took time out to
do God’s work
• Plumbing – General outside plumbing is now in place, with all
connections to services done. What’s left is to make the
interior connections
• Materials for the bathrooms has been gathered and awaits
installation. This includes taps, cisterns, tubs etc donated by
members of this Circuit.
• The Total Value of the work done since May 2010 (last Charge
Conference) stands at a minimum of $ 12 000.00
2) We are also happy to report that Council Building Inspectors have
been actively involved in all the stages of the Construction of the
Parsonage. They have inspected each and every stage and given us
the go ahead to proceed to the next stages
3) The committee continues to settle all our obligations in time. Our
service providers suppliers are being promptly settled and our
payments to Builders at the site are very much up to date.
4) We have submitted our Building Plans for the construction of the
Sanctuary and we await approval by Council for construction to
commence. Council requires us to have a structure valued at
$25000.00 by September 2011. Tine Basa rekuita.
