Served 22 in the United States Marine Corps in the areas of Marine Corps Int
egrated Maintenance Management Systems MIMMS, supply system management, motor tr
ansport, master instructor and curriculum development. Experienced in; Formal ac

EXPERIENCE
October 2002 Present
Sole-Proprietor. Opened and operate a full service handy-man business design
ed to meet the needs of property management companies within the local area. Man
aged all aspects of small business operations while servicing three different pr
operty management companies. Trained and managed a crew of seven employees with
different skill sets. Coordinated and managed sub-contractors on complex buildin
g projects.
September 1998- August 2003
Served as the Chief Instructor for the formal Marine Corps Maintenance Manag
ement Systems (MIMMS) School. Developed and maintained 22 periods of instruction
(POI) involving maintenance management and supply operations for a combined tot
al of 160 hours of instruction that were in compliance with the Systems Approach
to Training (SAT) Manual. Development consisted of detailed outlines, student o
utlines, identified and developed learning objectives based on Marine Corps trai
ning standards for the job skill, PowerPoint presentations, practical applicatio
ns, and testing materials. Trained introductory, intermediate, and advanced leve
l students. Coordinated training for 19 courses per academic year, one of which
was a mobile training team, with approximately 740 students annually. Earned the
distinction of Master Instructor and served as instructor mentor. Course materi
al included studies on; Maintenance Administration, Calibrations, Modifications,
Preventive Maintenance, Readiness, Data Processing, Analysis of (7) different a
utomated reports, Policy and Procedures, and briefing techniques. Wrote the firs
t Users Manual for the ATLASS II+ operating system and developed training to sup
port the system as it was implemented. Conducted formal training for ATLASS II+
for new students and for field trainers and operators. Served as the subject mat
ter expert and curriculum developer for converting 22 lecture based lessons into
interactive computer based training.
December 1995-September 1998
Served as the Maintenance Management Chief/Officer for Headquarters Battalio
n, 2nd Marine Division. Job requirements included; training subordinate maintena
nce management clerks and supervisors, conducting maintenance/supply inspections
, readiness reporting, library management for technical, non-technical, and poli
cy driven directives, writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, man
aged the command calibrations and modifications programs, data processing, analy
sis of automated reports for ongoing maintenance within the command, served as l
iaison for higher headquarters in the execution of the command corrosion and pre
vention control program (CPAC), and briefing the commanding officer on readiness
issues within the command. Headquarters Battalion is one of the largest command
s within the Marine Corps.
December 1994-December 1995
Chief Instructor III MEF Marine Corps Integrated Maintenance Management Scho
ol. All duties and responsibilities were similar to those mentioned while servin
g in the formal school. Developed student outlines and lesson plans in a manner
that reduced the paper requirement for the school saving $10,000 for the year in
paper supplies alone.
