Summary
My current position is project superintendent for Avila Construction
in Monterey, CA. Previously I worked for DMC Construction in Pacific
Grove, CA. As a General Building Contractor (since 1979) I was
involved with various commercial and residential projects in the S.F.
Bay Area and the Central Coast. Some of these I both designed and
built. I also have a BA Degree (undergraduate) in Architecture.
Capabilities
In addition to my experience as a designer/builder, I am computer
literate. I use MS Word, Excel and Project, as well as Data Cad
(AutoCAD compatible) for producing construction drawings.
Professional Experience (Partial list)
Commercial
Project - University Of California, Berkeley, CA (Mike Murakami,
Architect @ 510-444-7959 Ext. 224) Worked as GC for multiple upgrades
at various sports facilities on Berkeley campus.
Project - Hansen/Murakami/Eshima Offices, Oakland CA (see above) GC
for renovation of large warehouse space for new offices for above
Architectural Firm.
Project - Calera Wine Company Addition, Hollister, CA (Judy Vargas,
Manager @ 831-637-9170) Designed & built 6,500 s.f., two story
office/warehouse addition. Completed January '01 at a cost of $1.3m.
Projects - Meals on Wheels/Otter Express @ CSUMB for DMC Construction
Project Superintendent for the two above mentionrd projects. Both were
completed in 2006.
Project - First National Bank Office Building for Avila Construction
Project Superintendent for new, 2 story bank office building in
Salinas, CA.
Residential
Project - Painter Residence, Hollister, CA (Sandra & Alan Painter,
Owner @ 831-637-7947 or 831-637-2580) Designed & built new, two story,
3,300 s.f. residence. Completed November '03 at a cost of $650k.
