Project Manager, 2007 - present
Metzler is a premier high end residential builder on the Big Island. The MCC te
am consisted of 7 project managers and 30 employees. Their projects are in plac
es such as the prestigious Four Seasons Hualalai Resort. My initial assignment f
or MCC was to take over as the fourth, and final, project manager on a troubled
project at Hualalai.
I successfully completed this extensive remodel of an Estate Villa situated on t
he 16th fairway of the Jack Nicholas Signature Golf Course to the full satisfact
ion of my company and the property owner. It involved a complete interior/exteri
or and landscape redesign. We also built a detached guest house, and I managed
the coordination between the owner, architect, and the designers, and did the es
timating, contracting, budgeting and scheduling, plus obtained the permitting an
d resort design approvals.
I also worked on an 8,000 SF home situated on 200 acres of land atop Kohala Moun
tain for Metzler. This project required working in a completely different climat
e zone on the Island.
I made a valuable contribution to the company by bringing problematic and varied
projects to successful conclusions.

Senior Project Manager, 2002 - 2007
I was responsible for running multiple concurrent projects in and around the Bos
ton area. LCI Company has a longstanding history of work in Boston, including c
ommercial store fit-ups, office fit-ups and renovations to multi-unit condominiu
ms, commercial and institutional projects and high end residential projects - ma
ny in the multi-million dollar range. The commercial institutional projects I ma
naged included a hospice, convenience stores, City of Boston condominium project
s and a multi-story retail space. Our residential jobs included high end new hom
e construction, such as an architect's oceanfront estate home in York, Maine.
I was the company's safety coordinator and our representative at the self-insura
nce group safety committee.
Two of my favorite projects were a single-family 20,000 SF estate home in NH, an
d an $11 million residence in Brookline, MA.
Another challenge was a brownstone renovation project that the City of Boston ha
d shut down because another builder did not comply with city codes and licensing
standards. The owners were being sued by the abutting property owner. I took o
ver this troubled project for LCI and brought it to a happy completion, fully sa
tisfying my company, the owners and the abutters, all the while protecting LCI f
rom becoming embroiled in the lawsuits.

I was Principal in charge of project management for the company. We provided ME
P design as well as MEP and construction project management support to property
managers, architects and design build contractors in the New England area. Amon
g the projects I handled were hospitals, institutions, schools, municipal pools,
shopping centers, public works facilities, apartment complexes, and airport han
gars.
I personally provided field training to engineering and construction firms throu
ghout the U.S. and Canada, assisting in the initial set-up of forensic engineeri
ng departments, as well as teaching marketing skills to help them market the cla
ims industry.

I've completed reconstruction of insurance-related damaged properties in the mul
ti-million dollar range and acted in a clerk of the works capacity for insurance
companies on large losses.
I've acted as a Clerk of the works representative for the Royal Insurance Compan
y, administering a loss estimated at $7,000,000. This loss consisted of infrast
ructure and building damage to the ski hill and lodge at Lake Placid NY, owned b
y the State of NY.
