Project Manager: Led and directed 1 of 3 project teams on $170 Million GMP ski
resort. Team consisted of Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, 2 Project E
ngineers, and Project Coordinator to complete approximately $25 Million in work.
Also coordinated with other PM's, Construction Manager, Operations Manager, an
d many owners' representatives, architects and engineers.
Selected Accomplishments:
* Estimated, bid, coordinated, and completed 25,000 sq. ft. day care facility wi
thin the 3 lower levels of one building for a tenant owner during construction o
f one of the main buildings, all on time.
* Implemented several hundred owner driven change orders totaling about 20% of t
he project cost.
* Replaced a PM from another project team, while completing the 1st set of build
ings with the first team. It was a challenge to "come up to speed" quickly with
these buildings that were half complete, a schedule that had been slipping, and
a large amount of cost changes.

cts with only the part-time presence of a senior project manager.

* Project team was asked by owner and developer to build a second government off
ice/laboratory building after successful completion of a similar design-build bu

nd elevation for subcontractors, lift drawings for self performed concrete, CMU,
and blocking. Assisted the Project Manager with procurement, submittals, and c
ost control after the Office Engineer left the company.

* Enforce, track, and maintain Continuous Improvement and Safety Programs, which
helped lead to many items resulting in cost savings and a zero lost time injury
record for the project.
* Awarded for maintaining "a less than 1% error" on survey, layout, and anchor b
olt/embed placement.
STROMSETH CONSTRUCTION (Watertown, SD) - 1987 to 1991 & 1995 to 2000
50 year old construction company owned and operated by Albin Stromseth (my Fathe
r), and specializes in heavy highway, underground utilities, demolition, and sno
w plowing within the eastern half of South Dakota.
Jobsite Supervisor/Foreman & Heavy Equipment Operator: Directed on-site crews o
f 2 to 10 workers/operators, for numerous profitable projects and satisfied cust
omers. Skilled in operating, maintaining, and repairing many types of heavy equ
ipment.

* Helped in the transition of the company from just heavy highway to include mor
e localized building site preparation and underground utility company, achieving
