Primary pediatric hospital support by over 950 medical staff members
and over 6,800 total employees; 125 specialties within main campus
and 34 outpatient care centers throughout central Ohio; ranked
amongst best hospitals nationwide by US News & World Report;
pediatric teaching hospital for The Ohio State University School of
Medicine.
Coordinator, Budget and Finance Analysis
Utilize financial, analytical and management accounting principles
to guide senior analyst group through clinical comparative analyses,
clinical departmental level costing, and clinical resource management
and analytical processes; serve as team leader during absence of
department director.
Coordinate and carryout business plan development, management
information systems support, budget creation process, forecasting
model maintenance, cost and revenue analysis, cost per unit
development (from budgets and product volumes/costs), benchmark
comparisons, price change implementation and analysis, cost
center/account variance and job code/employee variance reporting, and
cost center and departmental roll-up structures; educate management
and medical staff on budget availability and cost accounting
information.
* Area and budget responsibility includes 18 primary care sites
with $38 million gross revenue, $22 million expenses and 152 full-
time employees; radiology department with $84 million gross revenue,
$19 million expenses and 108 full-time employees; medial nursing with
$78 million gross revenue, $29 million expenses and 304 full-time
employees.
* Facilitate ability to operate competitive managed care
environment through effective analysis of patient activity as well as
monitoring of hospital service lines, programs, procedures, payer
mix, reimbursement, cost, patient acuity, and profitability.
* Recognized for knowledge and appointed to train department
managers and clinicians on availability and benefits of decision
support system.
* Led project automating 3 different reports including service line
reports, nursing levels, and WHPPD.
