Configuration of clients
For clients the processor and graphics card performance are
very important. Advisable is a configuration with 4 GB RAM,
while using a 64-bit operating system (CADISON® R10) more
memory can be addressed.
For choosing a graphics card which is certified for your envi-
ronment (AutoCAD and Windows version) we recommend
using the Autodesk website (www.autodesk.com, see graph-
ics card).

BEST PRACTICE
Definition
A project template is a CADISON® database in which the proj-
ect manager has defined “all company standards” and all the
important steps for projects. Based on your company project
template, project managers can start a project in CADISON®
in a very easy way – in just "some seconds".
If the plant structures have to be flexible, you can also use the
Main-Advantages { ListFromFile Function.
Project templates in CADISON® have the following advantages:
· Ready document structures Needed media
- all projects look the same · Insert all needed media
- every user works in the same document structure · Insert on each media an empty pipe spec
- finding information in other projects is therefore very simple · Modify the media settings
· plant structures with the right tagging numbers - Line type
- basic premade structures - Color
- tagging numbers will also be automatically created in - Line width

- needed media with pipe spec structure Structure views
- media basics are ready to use · Insert all objects in the tree
- very few parameters to change · Create a structure view for the
· company project settings as pre-settings and pre-definitions - Tree (only data visible for search function)
· structure views as pre-definitions - ObjectInspector (only necessary data is visible)
· different settings for different project types - Table view (can also be used for virtual reports)
· ready to use reports are pre-defined - Company standards can be saved in a .cac file; different
views can be selected
Summarized you can say, that
· daily work will be reduced Needed reports
· same info everywhere at the same place · Insert all reports in the project template in the right document
· all users are using the same settings folder
· errors will be reduced · Create for all reports a starting revision 0
